Dar Essalam is a hidden gem in
Wilsonville. It may be off the beaten path but it is well worth the effort to find it. The food is fantastic and the service is every bit as good. The menu is not as limited as it appears since you can do a lot of mixing and matching with the tajine meal. Take some time to talk with the chef and you can learn a lot about Moroccan cuisine. This is what it means to have a "dining experience" as opposed to just eating a meal.

Pretty good food and excellent service.
The dinner menu is actually not that extensive, but what they serve is pretty tasty.
Their entrees were priced at $20 or above. They advertise it as 4-course menu... but I felt the quantity of the hummus(+peta) and salad platter they served for us (3 folks) was quite less. But the main entree portions are quite sumptuous. We tasted all kabobs: I loved the shrimp kabob (though only 2 pieces on a skewer) - it was tasty and succulent. The chicken was good (after adding a hint of salt by me). The lamb wasn't great.
They served us some chutney along with the salad platter, which was nicely spicy and we had a lot of it with rice.
They did not charge us anything extra for the 2 extra rices (obviously, we liked it) that we asked.
The chef was really friendly and was often visiting the customers and explaining the dishes or checking how everything was. The waiter was also very patient everything to us.
Overall, a nice pleasant experience.
Will definitely dine at this place if I am around this area.
