One word - AMAZING!!!. PROS:

*Ultra modern, but still quite comfortable

*Integrated desserts and drinks on conveyor belt

*Amazingly friendly

*Big selection on belt

*Spacious dining room

*Flat screen TV's and good music

CONS:

Location

The location isn't a con for me. It's a con for them. They're new and trying to get business and when I go in, it seems to be dead.

I hope they make it, because the place is amazing in every way. Please tell your friends about this place because places like this are hard to come by.

Giving them time to settle in. I've been to Izakaya Kaiten four times for take-out now, and have gotten prompt service and great food each time. There's a nice selection, and while the prices are a little higher than other sushi track style places, the plates are generally worth the $.

The only drawback I've experienced is ordering the sashimi plate to go. The first two times I went, there was 1 size, for $10.95, and the portions were incredible. The 3rd & 4th time, there were 2 sizes for sashimi, small ($7.95) and large ($12.95). Ordering the large both times resulted in 3rd time being satisfied with portion, but the 4th, I received less than a third of what I had received any other time. Not sure if they made me the small in error, but the variance has made me hesitant to return.

Overall, this is a good neighborhood place to go.
