Wonderful Neighborhood Restaurant!.
Enjoyed a rare sunny spring evening dining out on the terrace! Although it was a Friday night, there were not many people at this lovely restaurant and we can't figure out why because the food,
service and drinks were all excellent!
To start, let me say that they make the best Lemon Drop cocktail that I have ever had! Most places put too much alcohol in the drink so it doesn't taste like the namesake Lemon Drop candy but not so here. My cocktail absolutely tasted like its namesake candy!
My husband had the butter lettuce salad and the Hungarian Beef. The salad with celery remoulade was very good with a lovely presentation. The Hungarian Beef had a very bold flavor and the beef was so tender!
I had the soup of the day - black bean and the Asian Style Fish. The black bean soup had a wonderful flavor and an unexpected but pleasing crunch in there that I think was tiny bits of zucchini but I'm not sure. My main dish was cod and shrimp with bok choy and mushrooms served over asian noodles in a delicate and tasty broth. I really enjoyed the broth and appreciate the light hand the chef had in flavoring it (not too salty as some broths tend to be).
We skipped dessert this time but we'll save room for next time!…
