Awesome!!. This was a great experience. My husband found this place, their slogan is "Clean food, good taste" we at first thought this could be a warning, but this place is just phenomenal. When my husband, my daughter and I walked up there were two little boys playing inside, but upon entering the restaurant they vanished. Obviously they are well mannered and you could hear them faintly giggling in the back, which was charming. The waitress was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable (she remembered my husband and daughter). My husband and I both got pad thai which was the best I've had in quite some time. My daughter got chicken teryiaki which she calls "chickenaki". We expected just chicken and white rice but instead got chicken and fried rice, both of which were outstanding, my husband and I both stole some of her food. We also got the crab rangoon which came with a plum chilli sauce, the BEST crab "puffs" I've had in Portland EVER. GO TO KING CURRY.
Nicest People. The food here is wonderful! So fresh! If you like curry, I suggest the yellow curry, it was to die for. We also order the Pad Thai, delicious, and the Pad See Ew, phenomenal! Also, beyond this the staff was wonderful. I had my son with me, who I was carrying to pick up a to go order. The woman at the front was so sweet, she was talking to him and playing. She then offered to carry my food out to the car. She definitely went above and beyond. This is a must try!
Really, really good!. I'm so happy there is a good Thai restaurant close to my house now! There are plenty of Thai restaurants in the Portland area and I would have to say that this one stands out. The food was excellent and I thought the service was really good as well. The girl who waited on us was easy to talk to and nice. No complaints. My husband ordered the Red Curry. He is really picky, and he approved. I just ordered something simple, thai chicken fried rice. It was super good, I've been thinking about it ever since. I also ordered one of the soups, (not Tom Kha, but a clear broth soup) and they gave me all kinds of options as to what kind of meat, if any, I wanted or if I just wanted it with vegetables. We also got a free order of salad rolls.
GREAT FRESH THAI FOOD. Just opened 1/2 mile from my house. The food was fabulous. The TomYum seafood soup ROCKED. Several large shrimp, 3 or 4 beautiful mussles, large tender scallops, squid, mushrooms and succulent, lemon grass, galangal root, kaffir lime/cilantro leaves broth was FABULOUS. But when the dull, unhappy, uninteractive wait person doesnt so much as ask, "How're you doing tonight? What would you like to start with? Anything else I can get you? AND THEN tells the guy next to us he can't have a beer because his teenage kids are with him! Guess what?!! . . . It's take out from now on out or NADA! Way to run your customers out. Hey family member -Get a job you like. Your relatives are great cooks and you suck. Go home and pout. And by the way, that Milwaukie water was NOT filtered and tastes like the sewage treatment plant is too close to. Dont say its filtered if you dont know.
