Portland >Taqueria Los Gorditos
Since the day they opened, I've been waiting for this muy popular Division Street Mexican joint to take credit cards, and despite promises to that effect, they never have. Which is why I have to go to the ATM sometimes up to three times a week, preceding our very regular visits. Pretty much everything is solid, but if you’re in the mood for nachos, by all means indulge here, they are so worth it.
The sauce/salsa selection at Los Gorditos is almost as impressive as the burritos, which says a lot because the burritos are huge and tasty.
yum! more please.
Just ignore the review below me and try it yourself. I know people have "bad experiences" but "overpriced Taco Bell", really? that lady's taste buds must have been burned off from too much Taco Hell!
Anyways, this place is great. it's definitely a Portland Taco shop, hip + rotating art on wall, but it's good. They have a different menu for vegans. which i don't care either way but it's portland and I;m sure some do. I say yeah! to cheese. they have a breakfast burrito menu served all day for $5. The chicken burrito is my favorite. Loaded! with all the works, It feeds me all day. authentic sauces.
mediocre mexican. For the money and location Los Gorditos is not that bad. But when it comes to taste, freshness, and authenticity, it is the pits. I went there today to give it a third shot.. ordered chicken quesodilla platter .. bland refried beans, tiny dollop of sour cream, NO PICO de Gallo!! I asked for some turns out they don't even have it.. Better to go to Pepinos on Hawthorne or better yet King Burrito in north Portland. Even Taco Time is better! Not impressed and will not go back. It's like eating over priced Taco Bell.
