I'm not a huge coffee drinker (gasp, sacrilege!), but I love Barista's aesthetics, devotion to the bean, and their amazing hot chocolate, which pairs so nicely with a fresh Nuvrei pastry from the counter case. Compared to the other locations, this one's enormous, with a nice big patio you can sit on with your pooch.

A tiny coffeehouse with a huge heart. Selections vary seasonally with a choice of coffee roasters. One of the friendliest places I encountered while in PDX

Barista is as swank as it looks & sounds. The espresso is as strong as the ambiance, best to sip it on the patio and watch the people pass.

Very old world classy coffee shop with a beautiful deep dark coffee bar and plenty of surrounding seating. Outdoor seating is plentiful too. A great place to sip, catch up or work.

In addition to the French Press option, they can also brew up a cup in Chemex. It's cleaner and can be smoother than the FP. Plus you can choose any bean.
