45.301745 -122.772977Biscuits Cafe has a warm feeling just when you walk in. The atmosphere seems to be very calm and soothing in the morning. The decorations and arrangement of the cafe were pretty. When we arrived everything seemed calm and relaxing. The service was good, the waitress was nice and friendly to us. Always asking us if everything was okay. The menu had plenty of variety for breakfast and lunch. Good eye catching names for their plates. The food was not the best for my liking, it didnâ??t have a good presentation. I ordered the Biscuits Omelet and when I got my omelet I was surprised I was impressed with the size of the omelet but not the color. It was a pale yellow almost brownish color. The hash browns were wonderful as well as the biscuits and the jam that came along with them. I myself did not end up eating all of it, it was too much but it was enjoyable. The pricing was adequate foe the plates but not for the drinks a bit pricey for my liking I ordered a Fresh Squeeze Orange juice expecting a big glass and I got a small little glass. The juice was great but I expected more and a refill. Fun new experience for me, I would go again maybe =)
Walking in to Biscuit's Cafe gave me a
relaxed feeling. The decor was lovely and casual, it smelled of bacon and eggs, and it appeared very clean and tidy. It did not take long for the waitress to tend to me after I seated myself. However, it was difficult to analyze her personality; she seemed rushed/busy and did not make a huge effort to be overly friendly.
The menu had a great variety of breakfast options - even healthy alternatives (which I took advantage of). I ordered turkey bacon, scrambled egg whites, and a side of fresh fruit from a "make your own" sort of section in the menu. I believe it took an average time for my food to reach my table - not too long, not too short. Although the waitress never stopped by to check on me like most servers do.
When my food arrived it smelled delicious and was warm with satisfaction. However, it wasn't much. There was a lot of empty space on my plate and it made me feel like I wasn't getting what I paid for ($7.49). The eggs were very tasty and the turkey bacon was done just right. My only concern was the "fresh" fruit. It was not very "fresh" at all. It looked fine, but it tasted... old. All too soon, my plate was completely empty. I had finished my meal in what I like to think of as record time.
Overall, I think Biscuit's Cafe is nice, but not somewhere I'd frequently go to fulfill my hunger. The food was average (still good nonetheless) and disappeared too quickly. I really wish the server would have been a little more friendly and stopped by my table more. Maybe then I could have ordered something more to eat before she gave me my check...
Surrounded by canary yellow and burgandy I felt comforted and easy going. The decorations were simple and elegant and created a homey-type feel to them. The service was nice, the waiters could have been slightly friendlier but they were decent. We were seated instantly and the tables and chairs were charmingly matched. While we perused the menus for something delicious our drinks came quickly. The prices weren't high and they weren't low. They were just right for the amount of food you get. I ordered the simple breakfast of pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. Their bacon was cooked to perfection and each bite ended with a satisfied smile. The pancakes were fluffy but not overwhelming so I was able to finish the two pancakes I ordered. As for the eggs, they could have been better. To me they were a little flavorless and could have used a little more TLC. The hashbrowns were good except I would have preferred them to have been cooked just a little bit longer. Over all this restaurant was really nice and I can definately see myself going back for more but it wasn't exactly something I would scream and rave about.
