It's unusual to find food that really is different from anything around. So many restaurants especially the corporate ones have become so generic it makes it difficult to enjoy a good meal. Fortunately, there are a few good eating places here in Portland that still take the time and creativity to make something truly great. That bring's me to Jefe's. Great decor and friendly staff. One of my favorite tests is to order something a little different that it is on the menu and see how the waiter reacts. No problem with Jefe's, they made my substitutions without blinking . The food was excellent and we were offered to "like" them on Facebook for additional discounts and specials. It appears that they really care about the customer experience. That is why they get a 5 star from me.

Got a chance to try Jefe's over the Holidays and it was excellent. I live in ABQ so I know great food! I really liked what I call "Mexican Fusion" No overly traditional but rather a nice blend of old and new. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The staff was friendly. Next time I'm in town I'll make it my stop again.

Friends dragged me in. Both the food ( I had the Pollo saute) and the service were excellent! Most of the people were a younger fun crowd ( I was there in the evening) Great place to unwind with my girls.

Found Jefe's on by taking a new way home. It is a very good place to relax. the food and service were very good. I coming back with my friends.

Had drinks and appetizers over the weekend. We were happy about the service and the food was good. Our waiter was really funny. It made our girls night out really fun.

It was my first time eating there, and I will defiantly come back.

Me and my husband enjoyed Jefe's last night. We both had drinks and dinner and the price was great. The atmosphere is really nice and our server was excellent. They also gave us a discount on our ticket for "like-ing" them on FaceBook. How cool was that!!!. Defiantly be back to eat again.

Hit Jefe's on Saturday night. My and my husband had a great dinner. The staff was very friendly and even though we had to wait for a few, we got a drink at the bar and relaxed. The menu was different. I would call it mexican fusion?? of a sort. It was very good. The portions were ample and we did have some take home:) We liked the decor, it was comfortable. We will make this a regular stop on our dining out circuit.

We really enjoyed it. We were wondering based on other reviews. Our server was Jessica and she was very fun and professional. The food was yummy. I had the Chop-chop and it was fresh. We liked the way it looked inside. Too rainy to eat on the patio:( We will come back for sure.

My girlfriend and I got a chance to check this place out last week. The food was excellent as well as the atmosphere. We found the staff to be friendly and attentive. Nice to see something new!
