Before the birth of this cozy new Northeast bakery, devotees of Bavarian-trained baker Edgar Loesch’s dark, dense whole grain, European-style breads and rich, unusual pastries (Nutella croissant, anyone?) were forced to brave the oft-unpredictable elements in order to procure a farmers market fix. Now, your Bavarian croissant, apple pancakes, pretzel roll-wrapped frankfurter, spinach squash panade, and clove-scented lebkuchen cookie can be savored in warm waterproof digs, with a Ristretto Roasters cappuccino.
