3rd rate Starbucks. If you want the great old Coffee People drinks, go to Jim and Patty's. Or try Stumptown, a real Portland original. These days Coffee People is a 3rd rate Starbucks with rude baristas who don't know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino. A real shame.

All this and Coffee People's free WiFi. Grab a great cup of coffee, chat with the excellent staff, and you can bring your laptop. All the Coffee People locations are adding free WiFi. This place has turned into my office away from the office... I recommend a Depth Charge with chocolate syrup, or a Mocha Freeze.

Now This is the Place. Ok, so the coffee's enjoyable. There are very few places in our corporate society anymore where the customer is truly made to feel welcome. Everytime I visit this Coffee People the staff is always friendly and courteous but not superficially so.

My only complaint is that they're not open 24/7 like that other place across the street from them.

Special mention to Becky, Lisa, Mac and Aja...
