Rude Waitress. I assume there must have been a change in policy for when a customer tells the waiters that your there to celebrate someone’s birthday. My son and I drove 20 miles to go to his favorite restaurant “Olive Garden”. Understandably that Friday is a high volume night but I would assume it would have been good customer service to present my son with a small acknowledgeable cup cake or desert. Instead the waitress wrote happy birthday on our box as we departed. I feel that this display either reflected an official corporate policy change or just rude customer service.

Amazing, filling, comfortable.. PROS: *Stick to your ribs food - rich in flavor *Portion sizes *Prices are decent *Comfortable atmosphere *Friendly service CONS: For the price and the portions, anyone would have a good time.

Here's a tip. Order an entree. Fill up on breadsticks and salad all night. Take the entree to go for tomorrow's lunch. ;-)

Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant.. In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.

Great!. Olive Garden has chefs that must have come from all over Italy because the food and your surroundings sure make you feel like you're actually in Italy! But you should avoid dinner on Fridays and Saturdays because they are crowded! It feels stuffy in there because a lot of people are waiting and the steam is coming from the kitchen. I would even suggest going across the shopping mall to Starbucks or Baskin Robins for a quick treat and some fresh air until you have been gone for twenty minutes. Trust me, you might want to! But once you get to the dining area, it feels as relaxing as if you have opened the freezer door at home on a hot summer day after you have been running! The breadsticks are good and fresh, not like the ones you buy at Winco then pop in the oven! The Ravioli and Pasta are hot and fresh! The drinks are cool and relaxing to your mouth after being in that hot waiting room unless you needed to order a drink there. The cakes and special ice creams for dessert make your mouth water just looking at them! If you are looking for someplace to spend a birthday, this is the place I would recommend to go to if you are not shy.

Great for special events.... This is a wonderful place to share special times with family and very good people who serve us. I've been here before with my dad who has trouble with communication after a stroke, and the wait staff are always friendly and patient with him.

My boyfriend took the kids and I there for my birthday and they had someone come out and sing happy birhtday in Itallian. It was good food. (Almost as good as my own) and the atmosphere makes it all that much better.
