Really great place to shop!. I have been reading some bad reviews of this store lately and I can't keep quiet any longer.

I am the father of two, and have shopped at Segals for Children lots of times, and have never

received anything but very helpful, knowledgeable and professional service. They really do care

about us and our kids. The Furniture for our second child took longer than they told us it would,

through no fault of theirs, and they actually loaned us a crib and a changing table. Who does that?

They went far beyond what other stores would have done. Prices are a little more than other places,

but well worth it. We won't shop anywhere else!

Best children's store. Segal's for Children has the best merchandise, best selection and most knowledgeable staff. Every time I go to Segal's, whether it is for my nephew or numerous gifts, the workers are extremely helpful, welcoming and always willing to explain every detail about the products they carry. They are accommodating and helpful and very good with understanding the needs and timelines of the clients. I have nothing but great things to say about Segal's and recommend it to for anything from strollers to furniture to clothing!

Best Children's Store!. I have been shopping at Segal's for several years now and can't imagine what I would do without it! I have a toddler and new baby on the way and the Segal's staff has been my number one knowledge base for questions and product comparisons. They have been there to help me make all of my major purchasing decisions and have the best variety under one roof. They care about the safety of children, yet also have beautiful and high-end items. I recommend them to all of my friends!

Best Baby Store in Portland and beyond. Segal?s For Children is for the Portland baby (or parent) who likes local service, great selection, and more of a designer look to their kid's rooms. They also offer all the basics. Everything you can find at Babies R Us is also at Segal?s, but as far as furnishings and linens go, Segal's offerings are much more extensive and offer a designer flair often missing from what's available at the chain. Personal service is terrific too, especially if you're not a baby expert! Whether you want your baby to have a knit blanket or a fur blanket (really!), you'll find it there! They also offer an online registry. This place is fantastic!

Treated Very Badly. This store really has the worst customer service. I was embarrased by the manager, Nancy as well as the owner. I went in as a first time mom and asked the manager to help me. She behaved very rude and disinterested in me as if I was wasting her time. I asked if another associate could help me. She began speaking very aggressivley and told me that I was rude to ask for a different associate. The owner then came out and after hearing only the manager's story told me I should leave and that he doesn't need my business. This all happened in front of a few other customers, which was extremely embarassing. I don't understand how a business could have lasted so long when they treat people like this. They treat people this way because they know they don't have much competition in Portland.

Most Unprofessional Business. DO NOT SHOP HERE! It caused me a lot of stress very late in my pregnancy. You would think that a store that deals with pregnant women woudl be very sensitve and accomodating. This store is the most unprofessional and irresponsible store I have ever dealt with. I ordered a crib that was supposed to come arrive in 6-8 weeks. When I was 35 weeks pregnant they told me the crib would be another 4 weeks---this is after I called them many times to ask about the crib. They were so rude and told me that they'll loan me a crib otherwise they'll refund my money and I'll have to buy another crib. I was left in a very bad situation because a new crib would have taken longer than 4 weeks to arrive. They left me in such a desperate situation that I was stuck having to deal with all their unfair terms and conditions. New moms--save yourself. I dont want anyone going through what I had to go through with this store. They take no responsibilty for thier actions.

Wonderful. We've had multiple wonderful experiences with Segal's, not the least of which was on-time (to the minute) delivery of furniture. The staff easily available and able to answer most questions. One items was missing a part. The staff took a part from the floor model so we wouldn't have to wait for it to come from the factory. We've been very happy overall.
