Eh..not as good as it used to be.. Not sure what's been happening but used to go all the time. Mind you the food is pretty good but the cooks change so it's not consistent.

Staff is not so friendly. I don't like going to eat somewhere and made to feel like the place is doing you a favor. Consumers need to send the message.... we have a choice on who gets our hard earned $$$.

My new favorite Chinese food. I am single and so I eat out alot. My kid recommended this place to me and I am glad he did because it is the best Chinese restauraunt in the metro area by far. Usually I get the same thing every time at most restauraunts, but I try something new every time at China Bay because everything on the menu is good. Everybody there is nice and treats me like royalty. I really recommend the Mongolian Beef and the Kung Pao chicken. They also can make everything spicier if you like it that way.

DON'T EAT AT CHINA BAY!!!!!!. I went to China Bay because my Mgr said it was good. To my surprise there was an actual bolt (like from a nut and bolt) in the springroll. When I confronted the Mgr and asked for it back he refused and started getting mad at me. I have since filed a complaint with the Oregon Healt Department for there lack of professionalism.

An unsatisfied customer

Great Chinese Food. This place use to be on Macadam in the old railway cars. They had great food then and since they've moved to Beaverton, they haven't changed any. The food is alway good, hot and reasonably priced. I love their Mongolian Beef and their sauteed green beans! I'm not sure where the person went that complain at length about their service, but it wasn't at this place. I have been going there for yeas and found them to be very accommodating and even "invented" a dish for me at my request. The owner has always been thoughtful and congenial as a host. I intend to go back for sure!

OMG!. I read so many positive reviews on this place I thought we would give it a try. Boy was I wrong! The crab puffs were great...and that's where the compliments end. I ordered the chicken egg foo young and chicken friend rice and my husband ordered mongolian beef. The rice was heavy and greasy and my egg foo young was overcooked to the point of being burnt in some places. The waiter only came to our table twice: Once to take our order and once to give us our food. The rest of the time he was at a table in the back snapping green beans. There were only two customers besides us and none us got good service. I had to send my husband to get the check and while he was doing that he let the owner (who was going in and out of the bar) know that my egg foo young was overcooked. The guy came over to our table, picked up my plate and for a split second it looked like he saw what we were talking about. And then it all h*t the fan! He looked at my husband and told him that it wasn't burnt that's how it was supposed to be! When I tried to show him the BLACK parts and pick it apart with my fork to show him how dry and crunchy it was he said he wasn't going to argue with me and walked away! With my plate! No apology, only attitude! Five more minutes and we still didn't have our check, so I got up to get it. The owner was sitting another customer and walked by me three times refusing to look at me or even acknowledge me. I was on the verge of just walking out when the waiter finally came with our check. The owner was running the register when I went to pay and I asked him if he was planning on replacing the egg foo young he took from my table. He wouldn't even look at me the entire time he was speaking to me, he just kept looking down at the counter figgiting with papers. He told me that he already took off half the price of it and that I should just be happy with that. I asked him how I was supposed to know that when he just stormed away, that he should communicate with his customers. He told me that he didn't want people who lie about his food to be his customers and that I should find a new place to go to. And then he said write to the Oregonian if you want! I could not believe that! I paid ten dollars for egg foo young that I took maybe 10 bites out off AND I was being treated like this! This was the absolute worst service I have ever recieved! And all because this guy didn't want to hear that ONE of the plates we ordered was overcooked! This totally did not have to escalate to the point this guy took it! We weren't asking for free food or a discount we just wanted to let him know that hey...you might want to talk with your guys in back...they overcooked a very simple dish. That's it and he had to go balistic on us! Ask your friends people about good restaurants, there is no way that all the positive BS on here about this restaurant can be real! This guy was a real piece of work!

Great spot for friends, families and take-out!. First time leaving a review anywhere!

This is by far my families favorite place to get Chinese food. we've been so many other places before, but China Bay is by far our favorite. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get, and very good quality for meats and veggies. The employees are always all very nice and helpful, and love our young kids... even if they are acting wild!

Excellent!!! We won't eat Chinese anywhere else. We have been eating at China Bay since they were over in Johns Landing and were very sad to see them move to Beaverton. The food is so good we make the long drive over to the other side of town to get it. The Potstickers are the best we have ever had and the General Tso Chicken is to die for. Wish they would open another location closer to town.

Thieves in the bar/lounge. I didn't tip the waiter due to his lack of service, he seemed asleep. I charged lunch on visa and later found out he took his own tip according to my bank account. I will return only to dispute the theft, but will never go back otherwise. What was a $15.50 lunch ended up being an $18.60 lunch.

The very best chinese food ever, and I've eaten at quite a few other places in my lifetime. I must respond to the last comment made in 07/07 regarding the negative experience this couple had. My husband and I have been eating at China Bay for 7 solid years, and the food has NEVER disappointed me. When my mother comes to visit Oregon from California that's the first place she demands to go after we pick her up from the airport. Now, regarding the owner.... He has always made it a point to visit the tables of his dinners, ours included, and I might add that I am NOT Asian. I am African American and my husband is Caucasian. The owner always says hello to us, and asks us how everything is regarding our meal, and has never forgotten us. I see him interact with others in the restaurant and I've never heard him raise his voice, show favoritism, or act any other way than professional and personable. He treats his customers like they are members of the family. Now, I am not saying the customer who gave a negative review was imagining his/her experience, but maybe they were frustrated to the point that they may have thought to wait a few days before submitting such a potentially damaging review. Everyone should make their own decision before passing judgement based on someone elses experince. I doubt that the food will disappoint you! And you do not have to spend alot of money to recieve great service, I have never spent more than 35.00 there for dinner, and I don't consider that alot of money, but I understand if others do.
