From all the 5 stars here and some very
low ( and correct ) reviews on other sites, I was expecting something quite a bit better. The to-go order placed at 7:30 PM,, with poo-poo platter, chop suey and pork fried rice was way below expectations. The poo-poo platter for 2 contained 6 (55-60 / Lb = tiny ) shrimp, Cold, dry BBQ pork, a burnt foil wrapped offering, tough beef on a stick? and some fried won-ton, I don't know if those were crab puffs, but I could find no filling. The chop suey was undercooked, watery and lacked any taste other than partially raw vegetables. The fried rice was simply white rice, a bit of egg and pork and peas. I could not taste much seasoning. I guess if you like bland, raw veggies and rice, this is the place for you.
Rating? Poor, Would not go back. Also the above cost $28.25. It might feed 3 people with light appetites. Too bad the pizza place isn't still there.
Certainly the best in Washington county. I had a crew of hungry loggers with me and you know how they can be. A flip of a quarter decided we would have Chinese food. The new guy on the grew said he has never eaten better than at Lin's China Jade. I haven't eaten at another Chinese restaurant since. The service is A1. I like spice and China Jade delivers. My Kung Pao Chicken made my eyes water. The fried rice isn't overly greasy like so many other places. I take my wife here once a week and when we want to entertain friends we take them here too. We have made a lot of China Jade converts.
Lin's China Jade - The best I have found in PDX.
I am born and raised in Portland and have tried many many Chinese resteraunts in town.
A past client of mine took me to Lin's China Jade and informed me it would be the "best" Chinese food I had, had in town and he was correct. I drive to Beaverton from the Eastside of Portland for take out -- the food is that good. This is one where you do not judge the book by the cover...secret treasure.
Best Chinese food I ever had. My wife and I tried this place after searching on citysearch for chinese food and found a great one. It was so good, we started with the fried won ton which were great. Not grease which a lot are and the sweet and sour sauce was really good. We also ordered the chicken chow mien which is a way I measure chinese food because I love it so much and it was great A+++ the kung pow chicken, also great, spicy( I love spicy so maybe medium heat) great flavor and the chicken fried rice was really good. I don't like eggs and there wasn't huge chunks in the rice so I loved it. All that food which we had a lot left and a Ice tea for $27 pretty good for all that food. I would recommend highly great place, we will go back many times. oh and I think there fortune cookie was maid fresh, it looked baked and had a good coconut flavor and I'm not a hugh coconut fan. A++++++++ go if you want a great chinese place!
Soooo Delicious!. Honestly try the house chicken, if you like garlic, it is spectacular! The Pu Pu platter is exceptionally good a variety of appetizers. I can't say enough about this place... I had stopped eating Chinese due to some bad experiences but now know where to go when I want something tasty. It helps a ton that the customer service rocks. Everything was cooked perfectly and had extremely good flavor. There is a lot of seating and they even have a banquet room for large groups. Parking was not an issue I was in the front row.
Best chinese i've had since moving here. Surprised by how much TERRIBLE Chinese food is in Portland, I have found a few Chinese restaurants that strike my fancy, and this is one of them. Whenever i want Chinese and don't feel like going downtown i come here. You will usually find many asians eating here, and for a reason. Reasonable lunch prices, please come here many other places fall short.
this place is to good for you!!!. this is by far the best i have ever had. The people that work there are really freindly, the crab puffs are made with REAL crab, and there entres are huge. do not go to this place because then they will bring up the cost. stay away from my favorite little secret in s_ity beaverton.
I am new to Beaverton and was very anxious about finding a good chinese restaurant. I was recommended to Lin's China Jade from a local store I was shopping at and I was very suprised and how wonderful the experience was. Right away, you notice the restaurant is full of Chinese families eating there and they were eating a variety of different foods...so I was thinking that this must be good stuff right away. The atmosphere is simple and clean...a little warm in there on a hot day. The wait staff seem to be few and they are always busy but I now go at least once a week and have not had a problem finding a table. Each time I go, I try something new and I have not been disappointed. I try to watch what others are ordering at other tables and then ask the wait staff what it is. Their prices are good and the restaurant is very much family friendly.
The egg flower soup was not included in my meal. It is ordered by person. I was immediatly impressed by how hearty the soup is. It is made with fresh broth and full of vegtables. It is by far the best egg flower I have ever had. (I am used to oily soup that has very little to it.) My mother loved the seafood soup...was also very hearty and she said that it could be a meal in itself. As far as appetizers, we have tried the potstickers, spring rolls and mixed platter. All were very good and filling. For the main course, I recommend the Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken. The fried rice is also very good.
What I really love about their menu is the variety. The portions are large which makes in convenient to share with others. What stands out is how fresh the food is. It feels as if each meal is coming out of the family kitchen.
Surprisingly good Korean food, large portions. Surprisingly good Chinese AND Korean food (at a place called China Jade, yeah kinda weird). I went into this place thinking it is just a typical American Chinese place, but I was very happy to find that it is quite authentic. The seasame beef was excellent with a lot of garlic, not too saucy and a very good wok flavor. Also their champo was very large and very good. Next time you're in the area you'll end up more happy by skipping Jin Wah and heading over here.
best fried rice. the atmosphere is not fabulous, but the food makes up for it. the fried rice and noodles are great!
