1. Bad / Rude customer service
Unlike NLD, I do not think that under current management this place has any potential.
I took my car in for a wash because I was going to be selling it to this nice kid that afternoon and I wanted to make sure it was in the best possible shape starting out, so I got "the works". $27 for a Forester, they charge extra because it's an "SUV" this is funny because it's smaller than my Accord. No big right? I am being nice and getting this thing all beautiful for its new young owner. Okay, so then I wait.
I got there at 11:40, 2 Mercedes pulled up after me and were serviced first. This is a BIG no-no in my book, you don't just give better service to someone because you perceive they have more money than someone else. At 1:15 I went to talk to someone at the counter, I told them that I had an appointment at 1:00 and was already late and I needed to change my payment to just what they had done and take the car (they had only just rinsed it off, that's the $8.95 "outside only" service). The guy told me that they didn't give any refunds and that I could bring it back later if I didn't have time right now. So I explained the situation, my 1:00 appointment was with the person I was selling the car to and I couldn't really bring it back now could I? So then he's said something like, "Oh, sorry, but that's our policy". When I asked to speak to a manager he said he IS the manager... then I asked for the owner, he said he wasn't in and I couldn't have his number to talk to him.
So I just went and took my car and left, out the money for the service I didn't get. Oh well, I won't go there again.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your time or money, just go somewhere else, ANYWHERE else.
Carriage House does an OK car wash. You
already know that they take a minimum of one hour. It does not matter when you go, it will take an hour or more. Just plan on it.
My beef with them is that some of their equipment does not work. They claim they give you an "underbody spray." I have checked and watched for more than three years and the sprayers underneath are always broken.
I have brought it to their attention, but I am consistently ignored. Today was no different. Even the owner has given me an argument when I tell him. I am sick of it.
It would not be so bad if they did not charge for this service, but they claim they do it, and they do not.
No apology, and the equipment is never repaired.
The owner always reduces staff if the weather turns bad, so you always need to wait a long time.
I would have given this company zero star or even a minus if that's an option. They lost things in my car and will not admit it. Very poor job cleaning my car, too. I know they were busy but that doesn't give them an excuse to do a sloppy job and lose my car accessories. They've definitely lost a customer.

To be fair, they would have cleaned my car, but they wouldn't touch the slight amount of dried vomit from dog getting car sick.
I got as much as I could up from the car, but they (THE CAR ASHERS!) said that they couldn't touch the "bio-hazardous material".
They said I would have to clean it myself.
I told them that I was at their business for that reason,
TO CLEAN MY CAR!
I took it to Beaverton Car Wash, and there was no problem.
BIO-HAZARD MY ASS.

I took my car there. the carpet was just destroyed from dog hair. they got it all up for me. the even vacuumed up on the back window. the staff is great. the greeter who comes to take your order, brings out the specials for the day and helps you figure out what wash pkg you need, he doesn't try and push you to buy the specials either.
the last thing he tells you is have a great day. I will always go back.
Stay away!. It took them over an hour to clean my car and it still it not clean.....only 3 cars ahead of me. They do a poor job at best. $22 + 1 hour + still dirty car = never will go back. I drove home and had to hand wash my car by hand! Why would anyone use this place is beyond me....I would love to hear some comments about this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Slowwww. It took one hour and ten minutes to get my car washed inside and out. I spoke with the manager after 50 minutes he said he would not refund my money but he would get the car to me asap if I just wanted to leave. They were not done with the car and I figured I wanted what I was paying for so I waited. After another 20 minutes they were done. I asked to speak with the owner, Dennis Johnson, who appeared in about three or four minutes to talk with a contractor who was working on premise. I interrupted to tell him I was a first time customer and how disappointed I was. He argued with me and told me my carwash only took 55 minutes as if that time frame would have been acceptable. He said thanks and that was that. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!!!
great value. The best place in Beaverton to get your car cleaned. They pay extra attention to the little details. Staff is always friendly and you get a good value for your money at this place. They also open earlier and close later than most washes in town. (p.s. try the banana bread from the deli)..
Bad customer service. Well, purchased a product from the place and unfortunately misplaced the giftcard. Called to see what could be done and was told they have no way to "replace" giftcards. Funny, I didn't want it replaced, I wanted the service that I ALREADY PAID FOR and have my credit card statement to prove it. I guess they are just in business to rip people off. Most upstanding companies would have record of the gift card purchase and be able to honor it. I will never purchase anything from this place again. Thanks for nothing.
I got a gift certificate for their platinum car wash with the van upgrade. I took my van in today and left VERY disappointed. Since I did not have the cup holders open or the side compartments in the back where the kids sit they did not clean these areas. I was informaed that they do not open compartments if they are closed and clean them. Then I had to point out that driver side door handle had dirt still in it that I was able to wipe out easily, Coke still streaked the back of the area where the kids sit too. I could go on about the problems but the way i got treated was that I was too picky and that I should be happy about what I got for the money that was paid. I was told I could bring the van back in and have it redone but had to pull teeth to get that in writing (I was not about to take anyone's word about this!). I have had ok experiances here before, nothing stellar but alright. However, after they give me the service that was paid for I will not be back.
Oh, and I find it wrong that their employees are posting 5 stars for the fact that they work there..is it me or is that just wrong?
