A fun extra for wedding planning. We mailed invitations on Memorial Day, taking the chance that we would be able to get in to the post office on a holiday or mail it in an outside box. (no outside box)

We were pleased that the door was open 24/7 and there were clear instructions posted. Invitations were already weighed and stamped, we just had to drop them in the box and include an envelope with the addition for 5 cents for every invitation over 50 pieces. (We added a little extra just for thanks) This exists because of stamp sales and their hand cancelling, so be generous. You can choose between two postmarks (hearts or doves) They got to Portland recipients in a day! Excellent service. Then we went to McMenamin's Edgefield for lunch.

Great Customer Service. Dropped off wedding invitations on May 29th in the evening, and did not know that every piece of mail that goes out from Bridal Veil is "hand stamped". Today is Saturday and all local PDX mail has already gotten their invitations in the mail.

This was the best drive out for our wedding invitations, it added the perfect touch!!

Best place to mail your wedding invitations, EVER!. Because of the Bridal Veil name this post office gets a lot of business from people mailing their wedding invitations. We were one of these people. We arrived an hour before closing on a Saturday. We didn't have stamps, nor did we weigh our invitations beforehand. The staff there was AWESOME! They picked out some lovely heart design stamps for us and helped us weigh each envelope to assure the cheapest rate. Since we got there so late we expected our mail wouldn't go out until Monday, but people across the country received their invitations as early as Tuesday! Fantastic!

As we were leaving they gave us a free postcard so that we could mail it in with a check and they would mail us some of those great heart stamps for our Thank You envelopes. But we loved the experience so much we'll be driving back out there every chance we get.

Every couple getting married in the metro area should take the extra time and make the short trip into the Columbia River Gorge to mail their invitations from this great historic post office. Take the Bridal Veil exit from eastbound highway 84 and it's the first right. Follow the signs and watch for the small wooden shack with the satellite dish.
