Breakfasts are awesome at Harmony House. Good old down home cooking. The interior of the old house makes you feel like you are back at grandma's houes on the farm. Nice for lunch with the girls too.

While this was one of the best breakfast places EVER - where kids were allowed to mingle with the returning golfers from the nearby course, apparently it is closed! After driving by several times in the last two months . . . what we thought was a remodel was apparently something more! If anyone else has any info - please post and let the rest of us know what is either going on or, worse, what happened?!?!?!?!?! Did the ghosties get the best of the staff? We are very very sad. :(

Perfectly named, the Harmony House is just that. It's an older two story home converted to a homestyle restuarant. It perserves such a home feel to it, that you almost want to knock or ring the door bell at the front door before entering. When you do walk in, you are not only met by the smiles of the friendly staff, but of the patrons as well. Surely an excellent recomendation for what can follow. They have a wide variety of Items for breakfast, with daily specials that feature the likes of Greek Omelette's and some of the best home made bread you can find anywhere. They have this "Super Spud" breakfast item that strikes me more for a brunch than early breakfast, but I have seen plenty of satisfied diners attacking this abundantly served faire. Try their Pancakes also. One of the biggest and best tasting short stacks you'll find anywhere. The staff is as attentive as it is friendly. They really make you feel at home. A nice touch on the side. You know how you go into some homestyle places and they have knick-knacks nailed to the walls and old books glued together on a book shelf?. Here, you can pick up an old book published in the 40's and look through it, while drinking your coffee or sipping your hot chocolate next to the fireplace in the front room that has be converted into your morning breakfast nook.. Put it back and time travel in an even older text book, and don't feel rushed. Almost hate to see the secret get out about this gret Breakfast spot!
