Delightful stop for drinks... and food.. If you're gonna stop by La Costita's Sunnyside location make sure you dine in the bar. We always have the same friendly server, Kia, who is consistently prompt and sweet. They have great drink specials and an awesome happy hour. Kia always takes superb care of us. My experiences on the restaurant side have never been quite as enjoyable. Not to be sexist, but the staff of predominately creepy males never impresses. If your looking for a laid-back afternoon or evening out go sit in the bar at La Costita.

spend your money elsewhere!. we've been coming to la costita for the 2 years that we've lived in this area. we usually dine with a large party & we tip well. we usually enjoy the food, but the service has never been good.

the last handful of times we've eaten there have been unfortunate. none of the servers have personality. the staff stand around and watch everyone eat... creepy. the margaritas are great one visit & horrible the next. the last straw was our server last night, erica. she was a horrible waitress even with a friendly table.

we gave her $80 on a $50 something bill (we needed change for a tip) she said we gave her $60.

(3 adults at the table saw $80 given to her) my husband brought it to her attention.

she insisted that we were wrong. we weren't, it just so happened that my husband had a specific amount of cash in his wallet right before we dined.

we have 2 well behaved toddlers, they had lost it by the end of our meal, so we didn't have the energy or time to argue. we won't waste our money there again.
