Gloria'z is a Great place. This is a fun place for a group meeting - ask for the all you can eat taco and nacho bar!! It's a big hit with kids' sports teams. They also have great burgers and sandwiches. I've been there many times over this past year and have always had great service and food.

Gloria is a wonderful supporter of the local schools, too which makes this a plus for the local fanilies.

Fun neighborhood pub. My husband and I have been going to Gloria'z since soon after they opened and we go once or twice a week. It's a great place to be with neighbors and meet new people, the food is delicious and the service warm and friendly. Dean and Gloria are great hosts and are there to greet guests all the time. I've read some reviews that are partial to the previous owners of the Old Mill Cafe and very unfair to Gloria'z. it's apparent to me that these mean responses were made by friends of said previous owners. To use the word "hate" is not only weird it's cruel!! If the Old Mill was such a great place why are they out of business??

Why?. As a previous poster's title mentioned, ALL of the reviews save for mine and the two below are for The Old Mill Cafe, which is what this restaurant used to be called under different ownership. That means Gloria'z gets three 1 star votes. The Old Mill was tremendously fantastic (yes, that good) and this place is a serious let down in comparison to what it used to be. The owner doesn't care about you.. she'd rather watch the game. The service is mediocre at best. No smiles. Barely any chat.. a few nods when taking orders. It's like a bar full of sports zombies. Now, I know that could be construed as a good thing, being that it is now some type of sports bar, but wouldn't you expect to find some sort of LIFE in that? It's just dull.. and lifeless. As is the food. As are the people. As is the Wal-Mart little boys' aisle decor.

Reviews are for the old place.. Old Mill Cafe. This used to be the only place in the neighborhood to get good food. It was called the Old Mill Cafe and Bakery, then, owned by Bob and Debbie. They moved on (dammit!) and someone renamed it "Gloria'z" ... with a Z. Really.

The food sucks, the atmosphere is horrible.. which is a shame for such a historical building.

Worst transformation - and worst food - EVER. I hate you, new owner.

New Owners Horrid Place!. I'm surprised to see this still listed on citysearch...

it has a new name and new owners. We went there for my birthday and were served raw, undercooked, and inedible food. It was AWFUL. The waitress didn't seem surprised or even very apologetic. She did not offer to take the food off our ticket - until I TOLD HER we were not paying for it. I can not emphasize enough how strongly I do NOT recommend this restaurant!

A Wonderful Surprise - Great Food and a Friendly Owner. My friend and I are always on the look-out for a new place to enjoy our kind of comfort food. Sure, we like burgers and good sandwiches and the like and there are places to get those. But for a long time we've been looking for a good pastrami sandwich in the PDX area and we'd about given up when Kenny and Zuke's opened their place downtown. We've had the Pastrami there and it's usually pretty good but, in my opinion, is inconsistent in quality. Well, then my friend happened upon The Old Mill Cafe and went there and discovered the kind of Pastrami we really like. Lean, moist and super-flavorful. We also tried the Reuben (we each had half of each sandwich) and found it to be as good as could be although we both preferred the pastrami. It was, in a word, a taste treat. The day we were there, Bob, the owner, stopped by our table to chat. I had noticed Cincinnati Chili was on the menu and Bob and I shared our love for that dish which is tough to find in PDX. The special on the day we went was BBQ Ribs and my friend and I have already set up a time for a redux on The Old Mill. Although it's a drive for us to get there It's truly worth the cost of the fuel. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful treasure of a cafe!!!. There is only one word that can best describe The Old Mill Cafe, WOW!!! My husband and in laws dined here for the first time the other night after my brother and sister in law had come across it on google and from the appetizer to the dessert we were wowed more and more by every bite!! We started with bruschetta which well fed the six of us, we each tried a different main course and my turkey BLT which came on a toasted cheddar hoagie roll was by far a sandwich worth coming back for!! My husband tried the pastrami burger which was a half pound of heaven that we had to take home in a doggie bag due to the generous portion!! We also tried the pasta primavera, the chili, the spinach mimosa salad and the meatloaf and were more then satisfied. Also the dinner rolls which came before the meal could have been a meal in themselves. And then dessert came.....a chocolate brownie with a rich caramel filling, warmed and served with ice cream and topped with cherries was a perfect ending to the perfect dinner!!! We were so pleased with the food and service, as well as the view of Mt. Hood at sunset, that my husband and I returned the following night for coconut shrimp and fish and chips and once again were blown away by the taste and appeal of the food, the restaurant and the service. The owners came by both nights to give us a little background on the cafe and ask how our food was, we felt as if we were in the comforts of our own home and plan on returning as often as possible!!! Thank you Old mill Cafe for your delicious food and spectacular ambiance, we will be seeing you soon!!!

Fresh and homemade comfort food. We went to Old Mill Cafe for the 1st time the other night. It is right by our house. At first I was hesitant because of the decor (yes, I am a snob), but was quite surprised to find out that everything we ordered was homemade. Our salad was nice fresh greens and large for a side salad. We had a berry dressing and balsamic, both were delicious and fresh. I had a delicious fresh turkey sandwich on homemade wheat bread (backed fresh that morning). Yum. My other guest had, what he called, the second best hamburger he has ever tasted (that is saying a lot). It was on a homemade bun... and he couldn't finish his portion. The beer and wine were well below prices I have seen elsewhere. I must say, I was quite impressed by everything we had. We will be regulars. I most liked the freshness of everything we ate. My kind of food.

Great Food, Great Service!!!!!!!!!! I eat here alot!!!!!!!!!!. I have been going to the Old Mill Cafe for approx. a year and I have to say that if you are looking for some of the best food in the Clackamas area you would be dumb not ot try this place out. Some of my favorites include the Manhatten, THE RUEBEN, and the Prime Rib sandwich, of course you have to have the tots!!!!! Their dinner specials that are on the board always make your mouth water just reading the descriptions. The drinks are good and if you love wine, they have an excellent selection. I have been reading the past reviews on this site and I think you have to try it for yourself. Give it one try, it might not be for everybody but for those who love good food, good pricing, great drinks and good service its the place to be. The wait staff their are all great looking girls, which of course adds to the ambiance, but they always have a smile on thier faces and are great at making you feel at home. There is one waitress their named Nicole, and if she wasn't already engaged I would ask her out in a second!!! What a lucky guy to have such a sweetheart. But back to the food....it can't be beat...the kitchen staff you can tell puts alot of effort in what they serve. Try this gem out of a place, I promise you will walk away full and happy that you came. I know that my family and I love coming here!!!!!!!
