Awesome Bar and Food. If you know what to expect. You have to order at the bar in this resturant which is probably most of the peoples problem in the other reviews. I was in there on Thursday 12/8 and ordered pizza and beers with a buddy and was super stoked to see Tia working there again this year!! She makes fan-fucin-tastic drinks and has a great attitude. She was going to town cleaning behind the bar and still provided excellent customer sevice.

Food and Drink 5/5

Service 5/5

Keep up there good work Guys and Gals!

Will not go back!. We had a group of 16 meet there today for lunch, between us all we ordered were hamburgers, chicken strips, fish & chips, and pizza. The food was not good, a couple of us ordered the "Jason Burger" I asked the person at the counter if we could cut it up and share it assuming it was on a huge bun, she stated yes we could, when it came it was 5 thick patties of meat stacked straight up and held together with toothpicks on a regular size wheat bun, to top it off the burger was terrible. The chicken strips and fish were overcooked and tough, and top it off with a pizza that was so greasy the kids wouldn't eat it. The whole experience was a big waste of money, and left us with a bad taste and hungry kids.

Love the Rat, Feel Like a Local. This place is the ultimate. Whether you are at T-Line, Meadows, or SloBowl, the Rat is the perfect place to end your day. If you are coming from Meadows, have a friend drop you off at Timberline Lodge and ride the Alpine Trail down to Gov'y, right on up to the door at the Rat. Unstrap and leave your board/skis in the corner as you warm up to a cozy, local feeling atmosphere. Snow-fans young and old mingle and laugh with thoughts and stories of the powder fields of the volcano. The restaurant is separated by a door with a wall, minors on one side, alcohol lovers on the other. Sporting events of any significance (BLAZERS!) are always on the 6 foot projection screen TV, unless there is live entertainment, in which case the bar-side flats-creens will be airing only. Remember, though, there is that other side for minors. Therefore, beware the uptight Portland yuppie who is too cheap to eat at the mountain and thinks that it will be a great idea to take the family to the Rat after the day lifts close and get five star service when the place is packed. They can be spotted by their glowery faces amongst the happy ones around them due to the fact that they may actually have to go to the bar to get their own soda. MY WORD! CAN YOU IMAGINE???

you must try Mama Jimmys Chowder. refering to a name "Mama jimmy", they give credit to a person who is never seen. We have stoped there several times, havent seen no Mama jimmy. we have the chowder when it is offered. allways excellent. The pizza is also wonderful. I live on the coast and I have never had chowder this wonderful.

On one trip, we enjoyed a chicken dinner "mama jimmy' had cooked. It was very enjoyable, also the best fried chicken I believe, I have enjoyed. if you are in a 50 mile radius, you must stop here, sit by the fire and HAVE SOME CHOWDER, AND A AWESOME BLOODY MARY, FROM "KRISPIAN"?.

Remember, The Ratskeller, In government camp oregon.

Oh dear. I think someone needs. to get their management in order. It really doesn't matter how much money you put into a place. If you don't have an idea of how to run it, nothing will work and this is the case for the Ratskeller. Sloppy service and servers. A real don't care attitude and there is nothing quality about the place. A shame really because it has potential. It needs good characters on their team, good management and certainly an idea of customer service. i will give it one more try to prove me wrong but fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Best of luck a little effort goes a long way.
