Stay somewhere else

by portlandanne at Citysearch

I was very disappointed in my holiday stay at Timberline Lodge, after I had heard so many good things about it. The food is terrible, and the staff wasn't sure what was going on at any given time. It's historic, yes, but unfortunately in this case, "historic" translates into "old and somewhat rundown". I recommend staying in Government Camp instead.

  • Pros: In the middle of the mountain, great for families
  • Cons: Very loud, thin walls, had to travel somewhere else for good food

I love this place. I is a wonderful piece of NW History. A wonderful place to go on a romantic get away, or a fun family trip.

  • Pros: Thumbs up
  • Cons: little ways to drive
