The service was good restaurant was
very busy. The live main lobster was very bad. The meat in the tail was mealy (I can't believe that it was fresh) the lobster was not pre cracked so it was difficult to get to what little lobster there was. The lobster had very little flavor or none. Also one of the couples that was with us were served food on plates that had food residue from somewhere else on the bottoms of their plates. looked like the dish washing was not very thorough (the waitress did not offer any suggestions as to getting clean plates etc).
This is not a place that I will return to again.
Good food.....overall good service....bad comback on booboos. So last night brought back a prior situation....last sept 2010 we had a party of 15 visiting Red Lobster in Gresham....a large group that brought in a LOT of money....a place that requires a 15% graturity...so I expect the best !!! Everyone agree so far !!! . A waiter which I found later was new was deliverind a tray of drinks..as he pasted behind me he triped on something and a glass of coke hit my back and as he tripped further the intire tray of other drinks fell off the tray and landed in my expecting daughter in law lap on her BD... He was very appogetic and quickly cleaned up as my daughter in law moved to the ladies room to clean up as best as she could....The evening progressed and we finished up I found out after the fact the waiter never came back, nor did the manager come back to her nor was her meal discounted let alone her single drink...a coke!!!! Now you see the problem....So later that evening after getting home I called and got a hold of the evening shift manager and she said I would be getting a call in the morn from the resturant manager...adn I did and was very please at how things were going. Food was good ...great service all of it....I just felt that since she had to sit the entire eveing wet they could of credited her bill for the coke that she and or something....I was assured that with my sons name and address and his ph# she would make sure a $50 gift card would be sent to them....story ended...Last after waiting over 1 1/2 hours at the same red lobster we had another BD dinner...Waiters was advised and they said they come out a sing to her ext...so as this evening progressed...and we got up to leave and again no singers!!!! Which just brought up in conversation of the first occurance and when I found out the gift card was never sent nor recivied....What are we to do...this is a very fine dinning resturatnt....very good food ....Next time I refuse the 15% graturty.....and adjust it if need be...Kathy LeBlanc....and next time I go to the papers....A 15% gratuity requires the best of the best .....
In response to the review about Jennie F. Hello! I am the Jennie F. mentioned in this review. I am writing because I care deeply about my job and the people I serve. I was really sad when I was informed yesterday that someone had written a horrible review about me on the internet and now I feel it is my responsibility to respond. I have heard from this customer before, she wrote in to corporate not long after her visit to our restaurant and said the same things she has posted here. I want you, as the reader, to know that there was a lot more going on in this situation than what she has said. But I cannot post it here. I am sure there is some truth to what she has said, and I know when you are sitting at the table at a restaurant, it feels like things take a lot longer than they actually do. But I can promise you, I am a nice person. I love people and I try my best. I am not perfect, I cannot promise perfection. I invite you to come meet me and judge for yourself whether my service is noteworthy. And I sincerely hope that the woman who wrote this, reads this. I remember her, I remember her family, and I want her to know that I harbor no harsh feelings for the mean things she has written here. Thank you for reading this. -Jennie F
Worst Service EVER!!!!. I went to Red Lobster for the 1st time for my young brother's birthday. Our waitress was Jennie F and she was absolutely horrible. When she asked what we wanted to drink my ordered ordered a vodka soda with a lemon twist and our waitress looked at her and asked "ok...do you want that blended?". The I ordered a lemon drop, she again looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language, I then explained to her how to make the drink. Ten minutes later she brings water and tells us the bartender is really backed up. We finally get our salads & drinks and much to my surprise my drink is completely disgusting. The drink ended up being complete vodka with granulated sugar in the bottom. The next time she came around I refused the drink & requested a cosmo instead. By the time our food came I finally got my cosmo which was correct & tasted ok. Later my mom walked up to our waitress & let her know it was my brothers birthday to which she replied "oh we don't give out free food we only sing." We were so disappointed that she thought we were trying to get something free. After cake me & my mom ordered a second round of drinks, then about 20 minutes later my mom orders decaf coffee with a shot of Bailey's and I order another cosmo. The waitress once again looks confused and asks her if she got it from the dessert menu. About 5 minutes later she comes back to explain they don't have decaf ready, so my mom asks for just Bailey's on the rocks the waitress walks away then comes back to say "I just wanted to confirm you said Bailey's on the rocks?". So then the waitress comes back and tells me I can't have another cosmo since I've already had two drinks and my drink is apparently made with 2 shots each. (This was impossible because the martini glass couldn't have fit 2 shots w/ all the mixers. I was livid especially since I refused the 1st drink which was straight alcohol.) Our total bill ended up being $132 and they had charged us for the 1st drink refused & the decaf coffee they didn't have (we didn't notice until we got home). To top the night off I went to the restroom the same time as another waitress and when we both came out she was texting & then left without washing her hands! I will never go to this location again! The waitress was the worst waitress I've ever seen & the bartender can't make a drink to save his life!
Best service Ive ever had. Well to start i wasnt having the best day & came in and my waitress her name was Mary and she was the most personable and friendly waitress Ive ever had she made sure my meal was perfect and kept checking on me and offering to run and get me things. the place was busy and I could see she had alot of tables but gave everyone all the attention you could ask for. She husseled around and didnt do it even with a worry on her face. I will be coming in alot more now because of her and her service and am going to be a long time customer. Thanks
Good. They have mediocre food. Good service though. The only thing I love is their bisquits and garden salad. Yum!
excellent food, great service, nice atmosphere. I love going to this location The food is always fantastic and the service is delightful I enjoy the fact that the managers are always around to make sure you are happy with your experience for seafood it's the best I've found and I even go there for a nice grilled steak or there delicious cajun chicken pasta It handles special accomadations very well and the ambiance is well suited for anything from a date to a family dinner and even a nice quick business luncheon or whatever the case is
Casual crustacean-inspired chain serves up diet-defying seafood dishes in a family-friendly environment..
In Short
Live lobsters wriggle in a tank inside this seafood emporium, where nautical-patterned booths and colorful, fish-shaped tables in the bar area add subdued touches of whimsy to the room's classy dark wood accents. The menu can be downright decadent, with starters of artichoke lobster dip, seafood fondue, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. Entrees feature lighter, grilled fare like mahi-mahi and North Atlantic sea scallops, along with signature lobster dishes, snow crab legs, and jumbo fried shrimp platters.
Fantastic variety of fabulously prepared fish!. This is the only restaurant I ever want to go to! I think they're reasonably priced because you can have a good dinner and keep it under $10, or easily $15 per person. Their onion ring appetizer with scallops and bacon is mouthwatering excellence. And if I want eat healthy I can have the salmon cooked in a bag with broccoli as a side. Their biscuits are hard to turn down. I've never eaten fish anywhere that was prepared this well. Service is great. Oh! and the desserts, I usually try to avoid them, but on my birthday I had the chocolate cake and then I knew I was in heaven!
good food a little to spendy. I went there for my birthday it was me my mom and my father in law and we didn't order huge things and we each had a pop the bill total was so big that we dont think we will be going there again! the service was not all that good either we were very disapointed because if your going to pay 150$ for a meal you expect to get top notch service!
