For years I have been going to La Carreta, but my last few visits were just unsatisfying. At first, during my last visit the glasses they gave us for water had dried on lettuce still on them, the salsa was watered down, the tables weren't cleaned off between customers other than just removing the dishes, and to top it off there was hair in our food. Now I could have gotten over the first 3 because of how well I was treated in previous visits, but the hair was where I drew the line. I told them that I wouldn't pay for food that made me almost vomit. They wanted me to pay, so I asked for the manager and they told me there was no manager and kicked us out and told us to never come back and after this visit, you can bet I will never go back there. Used to be the best, but even gas stations are cleaner and have better customer service.

For four years I've been coming to this place. For four years I've left feeling completely satisfied with both the food and the service. Usually, I have enough to take home! (please disregard jack g.'s comment, completely off base)

This wa a great place to eat 2 years ago. Now you will loose your life if you are white. They hate americans and will kill you if you are not a mexican drug lord. I have watched them spit in the food and they talk about killing the chingatas. They will kill whitey. I am a Mexican American and I will never go here again.

Best family friendly Mexican restaurant around. Full service bar and good drinks. A top shelf margarita costs about as much as a 2 entree' meal but what do you expect. The Consuela is the best bang for your buck but don't try two unless you have a designated driver. They are strong! The food is good and doesn't look like it came out of a TV dinner from Safeway like some of the chains in the area (Chevy's). Fast and friendly service. 5 Stars in my book.

The best in Gresham. Our family has been going to La Carreta since it opened, and have never been disappointed. Try the Burrito Cancun, you will be glad you did!

Prices are great, atmosphere is great, food is better than great. Take out orders are even wonderful.

Best Place!!!!!. This is a wonderful place to go to enjoy a good meal, and good times with family and friends. I have eaten at both the La Carretta in Portland on Mcloughlin and the one in Gresham on Burnside. Both locations offer wonderful service and food.

I love the chips and salsa, the enchaladas, and the chimichangas (sp)

Above Average. We are regular diners here. The staff is friendly and the food is good. Portions are to be expected (I always take home some) and they have a great menu selection. I've always known them to bring out a complimentary dessert after each meal. The only drawbacks in my mind is their salsa is a little watered down and their enchilada sauce isn't quite to my liking.

Excellent Food, Even better People. Our family has been eating at La Carreta for many, many years -- at least since the early 90's. Not only have we fallen in love with La Carreta but also with the family who runs this restaurant. Jose, Tony, Teresa and all the rest of the wonderful people there.

You can just tell La Carreta's atmosphere is perfect. They always greet you as a friend. We have met other families while there. We like to call them our La Carreta friends. Its a special place, hands down. Nothing else comes close to the quality they provide you. Not only in food but in service.

Special people, excellent food, perfect place for just one person on a quick lunch break or a family of twenty celebrating a special occasion.
