One of Gresham's best. I judge Mexican restaraunts on their Carnitas de Pollo and their beans and rice. I keep trying new ones and this place still wins! The service here is also the best I think I've ever received. The atmosphere is nice too. I've been going here for probably 17 years and it definitely rates as one of Gresham's best.

Good Food, Great Prices!. We chose this restaurant since everyone I asked said it was the best mexican food in town. They were right! I love mexican food, and this place did not disappoint. The food was hot and delicious, and even the wait staff was outstanding. The price was fantastic, too. With two adult meals and a child meal, plus a beer, the tab was only about 23 bucks. Thats not even including the free icecream treat they gave us at the end. I love this place. We will definitely be returning customers here!

We love it so much we have been going back for 17 years!. The first time we went to La Carrettas was on my son's 1st birthday (1991). We loved the people, the service, the food and the DRINKS so much we have been going back for 17 years. We celebrate almost every birthday, graduation, and anniversary there. Tomorrow we will be going to La Carrettas to celebrate my son's 18th birthday and then again on June 6th for his graduation dinner.

Our favorites are the chicken nachos, the chicken con queso dip, and the very best is their delicous chili rellanos. I am somewhat of an expert on rellanos since they are my favorite. I eat at alot of mexican restaurants in California, Oregon and Washington. La Carrettas are the absolute BEST (they taste as authentic as my x-mother-in -laws, who just happens to be from Mexcio!).

If you need something made special, they will do it. If you bring a cake for a party, they will take care of it for you and bring it out at the right time.

Its a very very relaxed and HAPPY atmosphere. You will never find a server there that does not like his job.

When you go tell Tony (the manager) that Laura sent you! Enjoy.

The best in the NW. I love Mexican food, so I think my palette is pretty well trained at this point. I discovered La Carretta about a month ago while visiting family in Gresham and what can I say? Just an awesome place to dine out. Talk about hitting the jackpot the first time out for Mexican in Gresham...this place is wonderful. Friendly and welcoming staff, terrific food, value and ambience.

Their lunch specials are superb, so if you haven't tried this establishment yet...this is a great place to start.

I've tried several other Mexican restaurants in the Gresham area, but none compare to the quality or value of food offered up here. The chicken enchiladas are filled to the brim with tender, shredded white meat. Before driving back to the city today, I ordered a take out plate and was surprised to find (when I got home) that they'd enclosed salsa and chips with the order. It was a pleasant surprise being that I love their salsa- if just a bit on the watery side. It's still very tasty.

Fabulous Service!. My husband and I have been going to La Carreta for a while now.

We usually order the same thing and the staff remembers what we order

everytime. Even if I slightly vary one night what I get, they remember the

next time. The food is soo good at such a great value. But I would say the

service is what keeps bringing us back. My husband and I eat out A LOT! Once in

a while you might get inconsistent service or food at other restaurants. However we both realized we've NEVER been let down in any way at La Carreta.

We love the staff at La Carreta! Plus the mairachi music is fun in the evenings.

Great food and lots of it!!!. This has been my favorite restaurant for many years. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered! Love the atmosphere & great service, too.

Next best thing to Mexico.... This is the most authentic Mexican food I have eaten in Portland. Love the atmosphere also.
