Gresham >Pub 181
Fair place... Very Bad.
Fair place... Very Bad Management!
It's true I brought a flask in one night because the new server was so slow in doing her job. (they charged my debit card with out me signing it, plus added more charges to it)
I came in again a Month later and was told to leave or Dan or Ryan would call the Police. I didn't even buy a one drink.. I was always a gentleman... no fights / arguments!
I called the owner the next day and he hung-up on me when I asked him his name..
The only reason I went there... 5 people invited me.
Rude staff and management¦ DO NOT GO THERE! But if you do¦ check your debit / credit card for overcharges.
Hey, Mcmenamins is just down the street!!!
just a nice place for us to meet.
i like the new owners they are great. they are a frendly couple,
the staff is great as they always have been. I am glad that they kept all the old staff , there is one that my buddies can do with out, she works in the morning, complains about her job. and is rude to the costumers. my buddies and i stopped coming in in the morning, because of the way she is. one of my buddys said her name was darla and has only worked there a short time.
the rest of the staff is cheerful we will come in when they are working. i will give this place5 stars
Brian & Tahanni have done a fantastic job with their aquisition of the Pub! Their energy & enthusiasim will take it to the next level it deserves to be and they have the staff to do it with!
New Owner - Same Great Club.
This place is a staple of east side hospitality. Other rooms have come and gone, gotten seedy in some cases, Pub 181 is always a classy joint with great food and people!
The new owner knows the industry and understands the fantastic resource he has in the pub staff that we all have come to appreciate...Pub 181 will continue to be the best place to catch great music and food that it always has been....
Random Pressure has already played (a fantastic ensemble of talent) and Second Hand Buzz is playing the weekend coming up (another fantastic rock/dance band) so the music talent is as good or better than ever!!
Great to see that we can still count on Pub 181!!
I loved going to pub 181, I love all the staff they can spoil you rotten, I heard that the pub was sold and new owners are taking over this week, they will have some very special shoes to fill,
the only bad thing i can say is that we will miss the old owners.
no band schedule listings is inconvenient. The bands might be great, the staff awesome, and the people alot of fun, but how do people really know whose playing or what if it isnt listed anywhere? If a person wants to know whose playing, normally go to a website or google it, but when I did that Pub 181, nothing listed came up. So I would suggest you find someone to make a listing of bands playing! Good luck.
Nothing but GOOD to say about this establishment.!.
Please, take the time to stop in and feel the good times, or the fabulous breakfast, dinner specials hello!
I spent my 50th Birthday there., family and friends. Not to mention, the owners. Amazing........... Never, have I had a better time celebrating a mile stone, Yikes ! a mile stone.
A memory I will never forget and it is because you can have a nice night at Pub 181...
sundays great breakfast.. on sundays they have a spend of the wheel for a free b-fast that is on the board. the omlets are great. there is enough for 3 meals. the sunday staff is great and you can get very spoiled, by the food
to get the facts straight and the owner is rude. I am the one that both of you are talking about, Jeff and I were there 2 hours and yes we did have 3 drinks each. I went to close the tab just as the owner told us we had to much. the loud one was the searver. and yes my card did not go though 2 times. I might of been loud because the owner and the searver were accross the room. I did not cuss, I did not hit. I just tried to work things out. yes I had the money in the account when i got home I called the card company they saw pub 181 2 times and they said that there was a glinch in the system. that it should of been paid for. I have been going there for a long time and never had trouble before.
get the facts straight!.
Let's set the record straight. Iwas there & saw the whole thing.
Patchy53 is actually the woman who's card got declined...she wasn't an innocent bystander.
I saw the owner speak to the couple. She tried very hard to be discreet a couple of times while trying to deal with this woman. She told them they wouldn't be served any more as they had sucked up 3 drinks each withing 20 minutes. The woman patty said something stupid like "We were thirsty!" Once they knew the owner wasn't going to change her mind...the woman wanted to settle up.
The server ran her card & it was declined. The woman - patty- said outloud for everyone to hear that it should be fine as she had paid it last week. She then asked the server (out loud) to run it for $10 to see of it would work. It didn't. THEN...she said outloud..."I want to make arrangements." The server was very frustrated with this couple as she had people waiting for service and this woman was sucking up all her time. (The man Jeff was standing there the whole time & did nothing.)
The owner then told the server she would take care of it. This Patty woman stood in front of all these people & OUTLOUD started giving her sob story about how in the past people have allowed her to pay later & blah, blah, blah. (in the past? guess this woman has had these kinds of issues before...)
Eventually, the owner got through to "Patty" that until there $12 tab was paid...they couldn't come in. This patty was wacked. I don't get to drink for free...why should they? The owner walked away, after all...this WAS lunchtime & there were lots of people willing to spend their $$!
Patty drifted away & I saw the guy Jeff lean across the bar & say OUTLOUD "Ma'am?" to the owner. Instead of having another conversation across the bar...the owner stepped around & tried to draw this doofus away so she could finish dealing with them in private.
He spoke to her pretty loudly...didn't try to be quiet or anything...& told owner he had $$ to pay.
What I want to know is...why the %@#? didn't this idiot step up to begin with & handle his stuff?
I saw the owner settle the bill & return his change & she said thank you for taking care of it.
NOW THAT'S THE TRUTH of what happened. Patty didn't do anything wrong? Why don't you try having the $$ to pay for your bill!
I been coming here a loooong time & love this place. Wouldn't dream of being a regular anywhere else. People like that need to find a different place to hang.
