Never Again

Where can I even begin with my recent disappointment with Cleveland Auto?
I and my family have been loyal patrons of Cleveland Auto for a number of years and frequented the establishment based on referrals and solid, inexpensive service. My most recent experience, however, leads me to never be a customer of Cleveland Auto again.
I had been having problems with my car not shifting out of 1st gear (I had been having to take my foot off the gas for it to actually downshift). I called on a Friday afternoon in regards to making an appointment for my vehicle, as I know Cleveland can get stacked up, and was told their service was first come, first served. I, therefore, brought my vehicle in early Monday morning and by Tuesday had not heard anything. I finally called and discovered my car hadn't even been touched because I hadn't had an appointment. The guy I talked to said he would look at my car and call me back. Later that night I got a call stating my car was fixed and ready. I found that interesting because when I dropped my car off I checked the box on their form stating I wanted to be called with an estimate before ANY repairs were made (guess they missed that). So after being out over $100 (for a repair to my battery), I was told that the problem was fixed and a road test had been conducted and was fine (which I found interesting because the mileage on my odometer was identical to what it was when I dropped the vehicle off).
Suffice it to say, the problem with my transmission continued and I took it to another shop in Gresham. Within an hour, the owner called me and said my 2nd gear was out and my trans needed a rebuild.
So in regards to Cleveland Auto, you ripped me off $100 bucks because you never gave me the chance to refuse the repair (had I know they were going to work on my battery for a transmission problem, I would have told them to pound sand) and, if any of their mechanics are worth anything, how in the world can you MISS a gear being out on an automatic transmission!?
