Banana Splits to go - NO NO.
Three small scoops jammed in a bowl with about 1/3 banana chopped into pieces with three sauces poured on top of each other.
I commented that was an interesting way to serve a banana split and was told that because the to-go bowls are small that's the only way they can serve them.
At least it was only $5.50 each. Not a big rip off, but I'm not into three sauces mixed on top of three different ice creams stacked in a bowl. And after all, why order a banana split if all you're going to get is a portion of a chopped up banana.
We won't make that mistake again.
Teen hangout.
This place is amazing!
All the kids/teens go there on the weekends and just all the time
The food is really good although it isnt the best
Ice cream is really good here and the service is really good.
It just really depends when you go there because it's busy most of the time. It's worth the wait though. I've been there more than 50 times since ive moved here and I've never waited more than 15 minutes for a table!
Avoid Friday Nights.
I hate it when my kids want to go to Oswego Ice Cream. I love the ice cream, I hate the serice and the food is nothing to sing about.
I waited over 45 minutes for a table then another half hour for service. It is almost impossible to keep my kids from climbing the walls.
Next time I am sending them with my wife.
Great Ice Cream. I loved the Ice Cream but found the service and food lacking. I don't understand how or why they are always busy
OVER PRICED - SLOW SERVICE. I TOOK MY KIDS FOR A TREAT. ABOUT $50 LATER I WAS STILL HUNGRY. WE HAD TO WAIT FOREVER FOR A SEAT THNE EVEN LONGER FOR OUR ORDER. i WAS LEFT FEELING EMPTY
good ice cream - food not so good. expensive for what you get nothing special very crowded with screaming kids. I am not going back anytime soon
Go for the ice cream only. The ice cream is stupendous, although the service at the ice cream counter is always slow. Don't bother eating off the rest of the menu - it's overpriced diner food, average-quality at best.
This family-friendly eatery dishes up its famous ice cream and more..
In Short
This kid-proof restaurant pays homage to its dairy connections with a black-and-white bovine motif throughout. From crispy grilled-cheese sandwiches to cheddar-laden burgers, the menu here is consistent and dependable. The real reason people come in droves is the creamery-fresh ice cream. It's first rate--heavy on the cream and smoothly blended. The selection board offers a number of Northwest-specific flavors such as Oregon blackberry and Oregon raspberry, along with favorites like chocolate and peanut butter.
Nice for kids. Good place to take the kids but be sure and bring extra cash
excellent. Great ice cream, good food. During the summer, its nice to eat out on the patio.
