It's good food, but I noticed something tacky on my receipt.. I love the food here, but I think it's really bad when places add the gratuity amounts on the ticket. On the receipt provided they listed out the different amounts starting with 15% and ending with 25%. 25% is a lot of a restaurant to "suggest" as a tipping amount and it looks really tacky. I think the own should rethink that instead of looking tacky. Tipping is saying thank you for your service and it should never be required nor suggested on a receipt.

Best Chinese Food in Portland. There are so many things I love about this place. The Chinese food is fabulous and they pay a lot of attention to the quality and presentation. The restaurant is clean and the owner and servers are the friendliest in town. I try to go to this lovely spot at least a couple times a month. If you are looking for great Chinese food and some cozy atmosphere, this is the place. I highly recommend their diverse menu.

I recommend everyone try the Szechuan out. I've been attending a business meeting every Thursday there at noon, and it's always a great place to come to. Stephanie is warm and welcoming, and is truly caring about excellent customer service. Her whole team is appreciated!

This place is wonderful. I have been going here for years. Before and after the change in ownership. It is always delicious. Try the salt and pepper calamari...it's to die for. They are always friendly, fast and consistant. I have never had a bad dish.

Shanghai something or other. I knew this place had changed hands and had heard/seen the reviews.

On the word of a good friend who'd been in the last month or so that it was still good - I went. In fact I took my parents who were visiting from out of town, on my dad's birthday.

They loved it.

We had 6 people who ordered a ton- General Tsao's Chicken (excellent), Orange Beef (excellent), Ma La Chichen (not my fav, but everyone else raved), War Won ton (very good), Shrimp & Walnuts (different but very good) and

Lemon Chicken (standard, heavy on batter).

All in all, everyone loved it and the service was very good. No glass went dry and we were well fed.

May be they got to a rough start, but they are back on track.

Oh, no! Where did it go?. Last week on a visit to Portland we went looking for our favorite Chinese restaurant. It looks the same and the hostess told us that it is practically the same (certainly the teapots still adorn the north wall), but it is not. Alas!
