Angelbabyness (below) is insane. She simply must have gotten something confused. There is no way this person was at Thai Home in Sandy. Thai Home deserves all five stars! Bland? Not a chance!

AAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Best.
Too good to be true? I think not.. Some of the comments below really capture how amazing this place is. I just wanted to make sure Thai Home gets as many '5 stars' as they can get.
Do not be deceived!!. After reading all the reviews ...we ran as fast as we could to this place. So sorry we did!! Food was so bland, my three year old could have made better. Charged us extra for plain white rice that should have came with the dinner. Service was fair , I guess. Just not what we thought at all. So not the best Thai food, I've ever had!!!!!!!!! Will never go there again!!
Best Thai in Oregon. I travel quite a bit and have never found a place near home that even comes close to the amazing food that I had while in Thailand. My girlfriend and I went hiking and stumbled on this gem on our way back into town. They have the best Thai Iced tea, pad thai and after our meals, as a special treat, they bring out home made tapioca pudding. Oh, DOCTOR! I will definitely be coming up with more reasons to visit Sandy in the future. YUM!
Super Good. I've been eating at this place for years.... when they first opened. They've changed the menu a bit over the years to mix it up and so far, everything is exceptional. My only drawback is that my tummy is not big enough because I still want MORE!
Thia Home Restaurant.
We LOVE this place. We eat out often due to traveling for work so we're pretty much reliable food tasters especially when comes to healthy foods.'
My husbands eats a totally vegan diet, with very little oil. So we usually order the Veggie Lovers delite with Tofu and cashews, NO FISH SAUCE!
Now I'm not total vegan but everytime we eat there I just can't make up my mind...sometimes I pig out, order 2 different meals but have never been able to eat it all and enjoy a second and third meal if I;m careful.
I ALWAYS get the Orange Chicken, sometimes Massamon as it has potato and carrot chunks inside the more than tastey cocoanut sauce loaded with fresh herbs. Sometimes I get the sizzling spinach chicken cucumber onion comes to our table on burning platter atop wooden plank,
The sweet-spicy peanut/cocoanutmilk sauce gets carmelized and never seems to be enough no matter how much is pouring over because its so delicious my eyes roll back in my head.
I mean this is more than yummy, but not enough spinach for me but anytime I ask for few more leaves they're always more than accomidating.
Of course we always get the garden rolls, served with plenty peanut dipping sauce...its hard to eat just one, but careful not to get too full, spoil your appetite!
And even if is cold outside, dead of winter, I must have my serving of Iced sweet Thai tea,,,now I will say something negative...they serve this tea in too small of a glass....but thats just me! If I smile a little more and they're not too busy, usually gets me a free refill, but seriuosly I doubt will break their bank accounts as we eat there at least once a week and in summer finds us there even twice, and have been known to eat there a 3rd time...and since we eat just tofu...and I ask for smaller portion meat in exhange for more veggies.
Cook, the guy who usually waiter/server/cashier always more than gracious and quick to smile always ready to please. When he's not there we feel like its just not the same because he adds to the ambiance...his always gracious attitude, humbly bowing as he says "welcome", please...Welcome"...Cook! We LOVE ya! One of the gals, Mary? *not sure) who's usually his right hand...well, lets just say she's nothing like Cook. She's rarely got a smile on her face, often misinterperated as frowns. But she's rather shy and is perhaps the reason she's not so happy faced...would do them good to teach her that the customers pay her paycheck and blank faces not good way to begin ones meal. But we understand may be her shy personality coupled with her Thai custom....she does give us a smile every once inawhile...but far too far and too few.
Cook always more than makes up for this and would never cause us to eat eleshere.
They usually ALWAYS get our oders correct, and take extra care when we order takeout.
Approval from two people who lived in Thailand for years!. My wife and I have been eating at Thai home for five years now, and it never gets old. After a few years, we wanted to give it a "taste-test"; we tried it out on two parents who actually lived in Thailand for a number of years (one who is VERY picky about his Thai food). Both said it was some of the best Thai cuisine they had eaten since living in Thailand. We've also taken other family and friends there, and heard nothing but rave reviews.
Best restaurant in Sandy, hands-down..
Thai Home is one of our favourite steady dining locations. The food is always fresh, fresh, fresh, and the flavours are excellent. It's VERY small inside, but it's cozy and the service is wonderful. In summer you can sit outside and people-watch; the Mexican restaurant across the way is especially entertaining when they have a few groups outside drinking margueritas.
We have never had a single complaint for this restaurant. Every dish we've had has been very well made and presented, and we will always go back. I recommend this place to Sandyites and non-Sandyites alike. Parking can be a challenge, but you can always park in front of the homeopath shop next door, which is usually closed by evening time.
