Crappy Service. I love the the muffins that the bakery makes but the service there leaves much to be desired. I have had to wait while employees finish their discussions on personal issues before anyone even greets. The last time I injected myself in the conversation which annoyed the girl behind the counter very much, of course I was also irritated to have to hear about her teenager. Home cookin'. We stopped here after a day of hiking on Mt. Hood, and it was a good call. Most everything on our plates was home-made, including the gravy and the mashed potatoes. All dinners come with bread and soup or salad, and prices are about what you'd expect for a "family restaurant" ($8-$9 for most entrees). We don't have kids, but it seemed like it would be a good place to take them; there's Old West stories on the placemats and old-fashioned candy by the register.
