Good pizza + Good atmosphere. First time i have been to this restaurant was near 18 years ago when my father took us kids to Paola's pizza. Had a good experience then. Decided just recently on a trip back from Mount Hood to take the family + extended family back to Paola's pizza. Wasn't sure what to expect but i have to say it was again a great experience. The huge fireplace lined with rail road ties with a couch and other comfortable seats near it and the up stairs dining area with video games and comfortable warmth fromt the fireplace was great for all. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and another pizza i can't recall that was pleasantly spicy. Plenty of toppings on all and was very very good! I would recommend this pizza place to anybody venturing out near sandy. You can create a nice dining experience for your family that maybe your kids will recall 16 years from now like i had :)

P.s. lots of interesting antique wall decor to awe at while waiting for your pies to arrive + try the house fries with their house made spices Mmmm.  View Less

Different. My wife and I just moved here and she wanted to try this place out. We went in and the place was very unique looking. There is a small smokey bar to the right and a small seating area in the restaurant. They have two additional seating areas upstairs but they arn't very big either. There is a lot of old interesting things to look at all over the place and it gave me the feel I was in an old barn. The seats felt like they were going to break under us...but they didn't. We ordered a medium pizza, which was fairly decent and a pitcher of soda...they don't give free refills like most places we have been to, so if you think you will want more, get a pitcher...i think it was around 3 bucks. Every time the waitress went into the bar area we got a stale sent of smoke that lingered around while we ate. My wife and I are non smokers so we didn't like that much. If you don't want the smell of smoke while you eat, sit upstairs to the left of the entrance. The waitress was nice, didn't go out of her way, but came when we requested. I might go back one day, but more than likely not.  View Less View More

A Place to Avoid. I knew it was a bad omen when I entered the restaturant (I use that term loosely) and I saw thay I had to pay prior to receving my "dinner". I should have turned and walked out, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. MISTAKE.

I ordered the lasagna and I do not lie when I say that it smelled like dirty socks. I imagine that it would have tasted quite like dirty socks as well (having never tasted dirty socks). The pizza was no better.

Try take and bake from Papa Murphy's....it will seem like a five star experience mext to that of visting Paola's.  View Less
