Sokol Blosser wines reflect the attitudes, values and sense of place of the owners. The feeling that one gets as they drive down Sokol Blosser Lane is that of entering another world--a world of lush vineyards, vibrant wildflowers, nesting bluebirds, diving swallows, circling red tail hawks and the buzz of bees. And, in the center, is the winery, with the Pinot Noir barrels aging underground in the cool, dark barrel cellar. The French call this sense of place "terrior." To us, it's our special place, Sokol Blosser.

Big changes!

The winery itself is rather unassuming. But the wines are quite interesting, as are the changes it is going through. After teaming up with Paterno Wines, a 'monster' European Wine Co., Susan (Sokol Blosser) has returned focus on the higher end Pinot Noirs. The wines are showing very well and yes, the Evolution # 9 is always a treat. It is worth the stop on your way through wine country.
