The Lange winery is in the heart of Oregon Wine Country on 30 acres in the Red Hills above Dundee. Yamhill County, where Lange Winery is located, is home to most of Oregon's vineyards and wineries. It's no coincidence that some of the best examples of Pinot Noir in the world come from this area. The Lange's first vintage consisted of the three varietals they embrace today: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. Lange Winery is the first among a handful of producers to offer two styles of Pinot Gris, having pioneered a barrel fermented version of the popular varietal with their premier vintage back in 1987. One of the Best.
We came from South Dakota specifically to go to the Lange winery (reading The Grail ...with a dictionary assist)...we were hooked....at
that time Lange was not distributed to SD...fortunately now is)....we hoped to meet Jesse (he was gone,,,but luck was on our side...we got Shani)....what a great tasting (I just need to learn to spit....too many wonderful wines),,,my favorite is the Tempranillo......OK I like their Pintos Noir..Pinots Gris...

Wines with depth and complexity.
Lange wines are consistently wonderful. We have always been welcomed at the winery and made to feel at home. We have shared vintage after
vintage with vintners and staff who are passionate about good wine and good people!
On our most recent visit to the vineyard we enjoyed all of the Lange wines and went on to taste their current Domaine Trouvére releases. The depth and complexity of these wines takes the art form to a new level. Bravo to Don, Wendy and Jesse Lange and the wonderful staff who share your wines with us.
Pick up one of Don's CDs to take home and some of their great wines to share with those you love. Your life will be enriched.

Lange Estate Winery. Excellent site; excellent wine; excellent people. I must comment on the negative review. I was there when this happened. The driver was clearly frustrated for some reason and was acting out and spinning his wheels and raising lots and lots of dust. He was angry from the get go and was clearly embarrassing his wife and children. By the way, who brings three minor children to a winery? And why is he drinking and driving with kids in the car? Don tried to explain that the driver was causing problems, but the driver would have none of it. Completely disregard the driver's post. It's an aberration. This is one great place for mature, civilized people who don't spin tires on gravel roads like children. View Less …
Great views, wines, and people.
I have been visiting Lange Winery for many years and have always had a great experience. I am sorry that the other reviewer had a bad
first visit. Don is very passionate about his wines and the people that come to try them. The other reviewer must have been really kicking up some dust that was disturbing the group.
They offer wine in many different varieties and price levels. My favorites are the barrel fermented Pinot Gris, the Freedom Hill Chardonnay, and the Dundee Hills Estate Pinot Noir
Be sure to pack a picnic lunch, the back patio offers great views and is wonderful place to stop and have a glass of wine and a bite to eat.
