Joe and Pat Campbell founded Elk Cove in 1974 and now have 100 acres of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling and Gewurztraminer. The couple's son, Adam Campbell, makes wine in a lean, unaggressive style overall--with the exception of the big, perfumey "Ultima" late-harvest dessert wines. Located in Gaston, the winery may be a bit out of the way for a day trip from Portland, but it's worth the drive.  View Less … View More
