Founded in 1970 by Ron Vuylsteke, Oak Knoll is now a family business. The Vuylsteke philosophy: Focus on the winemaking, and leave the vines to Mother Nature (and good vineyard managers). Before Oregon was known as a stellar grape-growing region, Oak Knoll made fruit wines. It still produces a tasty raspberry dessert wine, but also a barrel-aged Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, a crisp Pinot Gris, a Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Niagara.
