Authentic and Delicious!. After frequent visits and stays in Mexico, I longed for a place to get REAL Mexican food, not the stuff layered in pounds of cheese and enough grease to kill you. This place fits the bill. I have been going there for years, and every person I bring falls in love too. As an added bonus, when they were featured on Fox 12 dirty dining, they did some major cleaning house and got there act together on the cleanliness part...now it is a whole package! You will love the food!…
Authentic and delicious! You will love it!. Most authentic and yummy Mexican food we've had since we lived in Southern Arizona! Lots of food for the money. The free salsa bar is amazing...lots of varieties to choose from and freshly made chips. Sweet and creamy horchata! If you haven't been, you should go...…
Simply Delicious. The regular taco's with chicken are my all time favorite, but enchiladas, tamales, and fajitas are also delicious. Haven't tried anything else yet, as it's hard to get anything besides the delicious tacos. Best Mexican restaurant I've tried. Good prices too! They serve food at the Hillsboro Saturday and Tuesday market, which is awesome, and it always has the longest line of all the food booths, for good reason.…
REAL Mexican food, this is not a Chevy's.
Heh- I expected a review similiar to the last review somewhere in here.
No, it doesn't have sparky fresh college students bringing you to your table and serving you faux margaritas in plastic glasses with the restuarant name on it. No, you can't get a happy meal or a T-shirt and they won't sing you a happy birthday, serving you a white cake sprinkled with cinnamon to show how 'authentic' the place is.
When I first went there, they were half the size they are now. No one spoke English. The tables and chairs were thrift store blue light specials, you got paper plates and plastic forks, and the napkins were paper towel rolls on the tables. The kitchen looked very clean, but that was the only place that did.
And it was packed with immigrant workers. Always. And the food was incredible.
Nowadays the dining area is much cleaner, nicer furniture, and they took pictures of the food and put it on the wall for the gringos. You can point out what you want to eat if the person behind the counter can't speak English. Still four types of fresh homemade salsa always on hand. Hand made tortillas and the chips and made daily, not taken from a bag. The goat cheese is fresh from the farm, and the food is cheap and delicious. You want a soup with tripe in it? You want real Mexican food you won't find in most places? Come here.
What can I say? I've been frequenting Ochoa for about 7-8 years now and it just keeps getting better.
But if you are looking for your typical Chevy's experience, don't bother coming to Ochoa.…
Authentic right down to the plywood floors!. Yes the food is ok, but, I would not go back. It was filthy, I don't know how Washington County could pass it. Maybe the kitchen is clean but the tables, walls, floors, windows where filthy, right down to the roll of paper towels sitting in the middle of the tables with food from someone else on them, we ordered to go & ran. If you want Authentic....like being in Puerto Vallarta, you should like it. It was cheap for sure and an experience not soon to be forgotten.…
