STAY AWAY!!! Bad move! What a dump!.
Half through my 1 year lease The Club at Tanasbourne changed property management...bad move. No longer are the people in the office willing to work with tenant complaints. Very condescending. Thus
far, it has been a 3 month process to re-side a large cluster of units all at once. From 8am-5pm (if we're lucky), Mondays - Fridays, we live under a construction zone of obnoxious and startling loud noises, from the rhythm-less hammering, ripping of panels, nail guns, saws, cranes and the shouting of men outside my open window. The management posts (required 24 hr) notices so often on our door we've lost count of how many times our personal space has been invaded. The stress and lack of privacy in the home I pay plenty of money for is a cruel joke. I, like many people, work night shifts. I rarely make it home before midnight, so waking to summer heat and men yelling outside my window at 8am has caused much distress, exhaustion and frustration. The weekends (the only time construction is not taking place) are the only times I must be up by 8am for work. I know I am not alone in this distressing disgust. I have complained to the "office girls" who patronize and defend their practices. There is lack of apology or compensation. (I don't even want an apology) I was actually advised by one worker to get a hotel room or stay with someone....which is ludicrous. I pay rent for a home to live in (are you going to comp my hotel bill or this "friend" I must impose on?) For your own good, stay away!
Twice I've had to go outside at 3am to find a drunk hooligan hitting my car and causing the alarm to go off. With the construction going on, parking stalls (including the one that is included in our lease agreement) have been blockaded, so I had to park further way from my home than I am comfortable with. I'd like to know when someone's damaging my car. What a dump!
I am also a responsible pet owner. I pay pet rent, vaccinate, license and train my dog. He is on a leash at all times when outside and I carry around bags for picking up after. I am offended when everyone else's dogs go in the patch of grass outside my door/windows and I am accused of not picking up after my dog. I personally always walk his discard-ables to the dumpster as it should be.…
Poor insulation causes a cold winter.
The location was great! It was so close to everything I needed on 185th and had a movie theatre within walking distance. The grounds were beautiful and well manicured. The staff was very cooperative
when I needed to remove a person from the lease. The patio was huge and I could plant in the dirt around it. I could not hear my neighboors at all. The parking was great.
However, there was one terrible flaw. I lived in a townhouse unit on the end (shared only one wall with another unit) and the insulation was horrible. It cost over $100 a month to keep the apartment at 50 degrees, the lowest setting on the thermostat. I had to go to stay with family for week in January because I couldn't take freezing anymore.…
