Ethnic Challenged. I do not recommend this restaurant for person's of non-caucasian background! My husband and I decided to stop in for breakfast on a Saturday morning on our way to a Quilt Shop in Yamhill. As we walked in it seemed nice and pleasant, until our waitress came to our table... As I ordered I noticed she was not looking at me while I gave my order, she only focused on my husband, and tried hurrying through our order. I tried not to think negatively of her peculiar character. 15 minutes later she came by and said to my husband, "are you going to want another soda," but not in a nice manner. This kind of tweeked both of us. We continued on and as we waited another 15 minutes, we of course noticed 4 other tables were seated around us during this time. We started to question our breakfast order after a family of 4 was served before us... My husband stopped our waitress and asked her about our order, she of course said she would check on that, then she turned around and walked around to see if the other patrons were getting all they needed before she went to the kitchen. I watched her as she looked into the kitchen and then looked back at us and didn't come back for 5 minutes. I told my husband if our food is not hot when it arrives, then I am out and not paying for anything. Just as I was to get up, she brought our breakfast, I looked at the eggs over medium, touched it with my finger and determined it was not hot and that my plate had been under the heat lamp a while. I told the waitress that this was unacceptable and I would be leaving and not paying for this food or this type of service. We went to the counter and the Manager, who didn't even come to talk with us, motioned with a wave of her hand that we didn't have to pay. Okay, I know you would think this type of treatment wouldn't occur in 2010, but it does. I am a Native American from Oregon and my husband is Caucasian. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter to these type of people the amount of education I have or politeness my Mother has instilled in me, it only matters the color of my skin. Shame on them.

A Great Family Diner!. What a great place!

We stopped in on our way to the cost and thoroughly enjoyed it!

The atmosphere was great!Service outstanding,and food quality high for a family style restaurant(we should know we eat in these type of diners all the time).

This place is a must when traveling through Newberg if your looking for a great come as you are diner!

SIMILAR STYLE. This restaurant is similar to your average Shari's, but they do have some good desserts. The food is cheap, which is good if you don't have a lot of money some night.
