Loved Witch Hollow. This course was the best one to play and had a beautiful design. I do agree that it's on the pricey-er side but you get what you paid for!
Fantastic Course!. I am proud to say I have been a memeber at Waverly, The Reserve, and Pumpkin Ridge. The private side of Pumpkin Ridge (known as Witch Hallow) is by far the best of the three. The condition of the course is pristine, and there is no single hole in the Northwest better than the 18th at Witch Hallow. A must play if you can find a member to take you, or a must buy if you are looking to purchase a club membership in the Portland area.
Two of the best courses around, with a famous history to boot..
In Short
Ghost Creek is a superb semi-private course. The greens are not overly fast and provide a true roll. The layout changes from the front to the back as the trees and tight fairways give way to a more open, links-style back nine. Pumpkin Ridge's private course, Witch Hollow, is famous for hosting the 1996 U.S. Amateur Championship, and a match play event that would make history. Here, Tiger Woods became the first golfer to win three consecutive U.S. Amateur Championship titles.

Comment. It truly is a great course, however you folks missed a true diamond by not visiting StoneCreek Golf Club. It is a wonderful test of golf for one third the cost of Pumpkin
Mr.. One of the worst when it's wet which is most of the time in Oregon. Very hard to play when the staff follows you around less than 10 feet away and won't say if there's a problem or not. People go there to play, not perform like they were still at work. Won't go back for any reason, very dissatisfied.
great course for seniors. Pumpkin ridge is a well manicured course for seniors. I don't think it is worth the drive or price. I'd rather drive to Bandon or play closer in.
Overpriced. Decent courses but over priced compared to other courrses in the Portland area. Munis like Eastmoreland and Heron Lakes offer equal or better golf at a faction of the cost. Consider five rounds of $20 or 1 of $100. You do the math. Oh and don't forget the 40 mile drive to Banks.
True roll. This course is on great shape. Fairways and greens are well kept and the course provides a great challenge from any tee.
I had no idea. golf could be so good in Oregon. EVERYTHING at this course is first class. This is honest one of the best courses in America. We should be thankful to have it in our backyard!
Be challenged!. It's worth the extra money to be truly challenged by a course. Pumpkin Ridge has proven its a world class venue. I play late in the afternoon and its rarely crowded and so peaceful.
