Good food-Horrible Service

I have been going to Standford`s for years. Used to go to the one on River Place but since I moved to Lake Oswego went to the one in the area. My visit a months ago was my last one. The waitress was ruled and condescending. I really did not feel like having a drink AT THAT SECOND. I told her that I’d like to order food first and drink later. She said NO- have to order the drink first and UNLESS I order a drink she will not take our food order. When she came back later I’ve pointed at the menu that there is not drink requirement…. she interrupted me and said that it does not matter what the menu says and I HAVE TO order a drink and if it’s not a “good deal for you- you should leave”. I’ve never being treated like that in any restaurant. I will never go there, ever.

Great Experience

I have been to this restraunt many times. The food is always good and the service is excellent. They have a great happy hour menu. It is a good place to go if you are downtown on the waterfront.

Good Service, Wrong Prices

I always hate to give a local business an "average" rating, and I seldom make any comments, but I think Stanfords needs to get real about prices. Just for the heck of it, I tried a $25 entre', a fish plate, and received two small skewers of one prawn, one mussel, etc. Not worth the buck. And then draft beer was $5.50 per pint. There is nothing special about the restaurant's interior, food or service that warrents jacked prices. I would recommend finding another place to eat.
