HORRIBLE! Go somewhere else!. Such a disappointing experience. So many problems it would be hard to write them all here. The bride was treated like it was was an imposition for them to do anything for her.

The owner was horribly rude and just plain mean. They called the bride and told her SHE had to call all of the bridesmaids to let them know their dresses were in and to come pick them up. Really! All of the bridesmaids filled out cards with our phone numbers and email addresses, but they said it wasn't their job to contact us.

Once we went in to pick up our dresses is where it really got ridiculous. Every bridesmaid was unhappy with how they were treated.

After I paid for the dress, paid for alterations and came to pick it up, they brought it out and it looked like it had come out of a laundry basket....hideous! I asked the girl what happened to it and she said that is how they end up when they put them in the bags to hang...really! BUT...for an extra fee they would steam it for me and I could pick it up in a few days.

Just horrible, go anywhere else and you will be taken care of better.  View Less

Horrible Experience. WORST RETAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. We were so discusted with Tower Bridal that we had to go as far as consulting a lawyer. There were numerous problems that happened, including dealing with the witch of an owner, but the big huge thing that almost ruined our wedding happened as follows; a week & a half before my wedding day I was scheduled to pick up my newly altered, cleaned and pressed wedding dress. Not only was it not ready, but it was DIRTY!! It had pit stains, dirt smudges and TEARS under the bust. Now how does a brand new, pricey wedding dress that has only been worn by me once to get it fitted be dirty and torn? They pretended like they didn't know what happened, but we made sure to take pictures. Then they proceeded to argue with me about getting the alterations done, and cleaned in time. They were saying none of these things were included in the price, even though they had written down that alterations, cleaning and pressing were free. The owner claimed, although she was the one that wrote the contract, that the wording wasn't clear enough, so we wouldn't have to pay for cleaning, but the alterations and pressing I had to pay for. This was on a wednesday, and they were saying they couldn't get the dress to the cleaners until the following monday, for reasons unknown to me. So we had to call the cleaners, make arrangements with them after explaining the situation, and make sure it all happened promptly. It was so scary because this was a week and a half before my wedding, and I still needed to put a pettycoat in the dress, which we had explained to Tower many times. Obviously this was the worst retail experience of our lives, and don't walk, but run the other way if you were thinking of going in there. Terrible.  View Less View More

Put Tower on your list of stores to try!. I'm surprised by the bad reviews. My salesperson, Cherie, was really nice without being pushy. I didn't end up buying my dress from this store, but it did have my second favorite dress. I think there's a decent selection, and maybe everyone should just ask for Cherie when they go there to get great service!  View Less View More

Nice experience. My daughter tried on over 30 dresses in bridal shops all over the metro area before finding her dress at Tower Bridal. We felt welcome in the store and were allowed to look through all the dresses we wanted throughout the store. My daughter tried on several before finding her dress. She was not rushed and the dress was perfect for her. They were patient as she tried on shoes and veils to compliment the dress. The woman who did the alterations was the sweetest lady and did an amazing job. The dress was perfect and my daughter was beautiful. We also selected the maid of honor and bridesmaid dresses for the wedding party with the attendants living in different parts of the country. Everything turned out reallyl well.  View Less View More

Worst experience, awful staff.... I went into Tower Bridal in the early afternoon while I was in town (I live two hours from Portland) with my mother; we only went there after we made a call to see if anyone could fit us into the schedule, and we were told that they could. Upon walking in to the store I was addressed by the first sales women, if you can call her that, and was asked what I was looking for in a very "snipppy" tone; when I showed the woman the photo of the dress I have been looking for, she turned up her nose and laughed at me saying it was a "very high end dress". She said it in a way that made me feel that she thought I couldn't afford it, and then she alerts me with the same rude smirk on her face that the largest size they have is a 12 (which I am), and with her looking extremely cross at me I told her I was a 12 depending on the bust...She the said our sales woman would be back from the restroom shortly, so my mother and I looked around hoping the next employee would be more helpful. She walked over with the same chip on her shoulder snapping rude comments at everything we had to say. I told her I wasn't set on a dress style and was up for suggestions, she said she didn't know what that meant... so after ten or so minutes of her making me feel like I had the plauge we decided we did not want to spend our money there and went to leave, the sales woman followed after us handing me a business card and snidely saying "We do appreciate those appointments", to which we said that we called in advance.

I have never felt more unwelcome in a store. Shopping for your wedding gown is supposed to be a wonderful, fun, and exciting experience. This felt like that scene from Pretty Woman when the sales women wouldn't help Julia Roberts character. I went Ania's, that is where you want to go in Portland or style, class and customer service. I will never go back to Tower or suggest it to another woman!!!  View Less
