Spa Upstairs. Christee has been doing my waxing now for over a year. She is pleasant and always upbeat, fun and professional. Her goal really is to make up feel better than when you walked in. Highly recommend Christee.

Best Salon in Portland. I have been going to Vis a Vis for nearly 7 years, and don't even live in Portland anymore! I live in Seattle and make the drive on a regular basis to see Julia, the owner of the salon. She, and all the other stylists at this salon are amazing! I highly recommend to anyone who has just moved to the area and is looking for a great place to get your hair done. They are always more then willing to accommodate you, and your schedule, and when you get to the salon you always feel welcomed.

The stylists at this salon truly understand hair, and what works and what doesn't! Will be a customer for life!

As for HerCraftiness- I ask you this- so you got some gossip that you didn't like hearing, that's not really the point of a salon, what did you think of your hair afterwards? I bet you were not disappointed. No?

Trash talk city!. Seriously, I have never wanted to leave a salon faster. Who in their right mind thinks it's okay to discuss your private, personal life dilemas with your client????? On a FIRST visit?!?!? Let alone trash-talking all the other stylists in your salon? What client wants to hear that? Not me. NO thank you. I don't go to the salon to get the latest dirt on people I don't know. I have People Magazine for that. I go to a salon to relax and not think about the things these girls want to jabber about. Leave this salon to your teenage daughter where she can get her clique-fix. For me, I prefer something with a little more class.

Never Dissatisfied!. I have been getting my hair cut and colored at Vis a Vis for 10 years. Markie is my sylist and she has saved me more than once. Most notibly was the time I died my hair black, and it wouldn't wash out. She slowly brought the color down to a reasonal shade. She is talented and consciencious. The salon itself if very pleasant: cool music, friendly conversation. Prices are reasonable, too. One more thing about Markie...she has cut both of my kids' hair and they LOVE her!

"Cutting Edge Style" on Capitol Highway. Ever since Julia, the owner of Vis A Vis Salon, cuts, colors and styles my hair I am approached by random women with compliments and requests for my stylists name. Asking a woman with a fabulous is how I found Julia myself when I moved to Portland nine years ago.

The numerous people, friends and strangers, that I referred to her in the past nine years are devoted customers today.

Julia's experience and impeccable taste is always a guarantee for the most fashionable, yet unique and flatttering look for each of her customers.

She could easily be a part of the "Tim Gunn Guide to Syle" team!

Leanne's the BEST!!!!!!!. I recently scheduled an appointment at this salon....what a treat it was to have someone listen to me and cut my hair the way I wanted it cut!!! I have gone there in the past, several times actually. Julia, the owner, has cut my hair, as has Marty. If the two of them would stop bad mouthing people long enough to actually cut your hair, they maybe a little busier! HORRIBLE cut from Julia! The review from the woman who said it was a Great Clips cut?....mine was worse! I would give it a dog groomers rating. If you're going to be in the styling industry, try looking and behaving the part. Thank God Leanne is there, the chick ROCKS and is carrying the place!

The Most Relaxing Facial EVER! I am Addicted.. I on a regular basis, for the last year have been getting the greatest haircuts at Vis A Vis from Cheri. I have recently discovered Vis A Vis offers other spa style services upstairs. About 2 months ago I received the best manicure / pedicure I have ever had from Christee, this motivated me to return for what was the most relaxing facial EVER! Since receiving these services I have returned for follow ups on both and also received a waxing from Christee. Cheri and Christee take the edge off my stressful day, and send me away looking fantastic. I highly recommend Vis A Vis!

Best facials and waxes in Portland!. Kelly is new to Vis a Vis and she is a find! Her facials are phenomenal, I would love to get one every week! She's a waxing pro and makes it as quick and painless as possible. Her space is light, bright and clean with calming music playing. I will go back again and again!

Leanne at Vis a Vis is a genius!. When we (my husband, son and I ) moved to Portland from Chicago three years ago, Leanne at Vis a Vis was the first person that we went to for hair cuts/styles and in my case, color . . . and she was the last! She's amazing. We've sent more than 10 people her way, including my teenage niece that was here on a visit, and everyone has been blissfully happy with what she has done. I have had my hair short, long, bangs, straight, curly, dark, light, red, and streaked . . . all done by Leanne and all FABULOUS looking. I have difficult, thin, very curly and frizzy hair and she knows exactly how to tame it. Give her a try . . . you won't be sorry!

Best Color, Hair Cut and Advise I have ever had! Thanks Sherri. I have been looking for a stylist for years and finally found one who was able to look at my hair, face shape and coloring and give me several ideas of what would be best for my specific needs. I had so much fun and Sherri did a terrific job! I am excited to see her again and have already sent in several friends and family, they too have loved her work.

I am also excited that she has a custom blend makeup line. I'm getting the Hydrating Mineral powder and my sister is going to get the Silky Foundation. Your Terrific Sherri

The Salon is the cutest place. Very clean and professional. Lot's of friendly happy faces.
