DOES NOT RECOMMEND! It seems that all the negative reviews of this vendor have been removed... coincidence? However, I managed to read one before it was removed and it had mentioned that Erik Berntsen was overrated. I would have to concur with this comment. Erik did NOT spend a lot of time on my appointment like others have so graciously vowed. He rushed through the appointment and discounted my opinions on MY OWN eyebrows. He also does NOT know his techniques and is extremely unknowledgeable in his own trade/expertise. I would definitely NOT recommend him and advise to keep looking. He is grossly overpriced for his mediocre service, and will run the other direction if you confront him with his shortcomings. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a service that you will have to live with for the rest of our life. Please make sure you do your homework and listen to my warning, there are more better equipped professionals and Erik Berntsen is not one of those.

Living Social had a voucher fr eyeliner that I had to take advantage of...and boy am I glad!

Erik is a real professional, uses a small tattoo machine and topical lidocaine so it's not really as painful as I feared. I was so impressed that I made an appointment to have my eyebrows done. Had that applied today and I love it. I go back in 6 weeks for tough-ups, which are included in the basic price.

Specials on his website....Do check it out!

Wow! Do they look good! Eye makeup is hard for me since my close range vision has gone bad..hard to put eyeliner on with glasses on...now I don't have to worry about it. A bit of blush and a swipe of mascara and makeup is done.

Hello Beautiful. I have always wanted to get permanent eyebrows. While my hair is dark, my eyebrows are extremely light. When I got the permanent eyebrows done they looked beautiful! I felt as if I had gotten a face lift. Erik is extremely professional and I am very satisfied with the work I had done! I would recommend him to anyone! LOVE THE BROWS THANKS AGAIN!!!

A definite find. I am a perfectionist in many areas, which is why I was very squeamish at the thought of having tattooed(sp?) makeup. I researched everyone in the Portland Metro area and hand-picked Erik based on his reviews. I was not disappointed. First of all he is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I was so nervous but he made everything as painless as possible. I have so much self confidence now.I strongly recommend anyone who wants very nice eyebrows and permanent eyeliner to see him. He was able to show me how much care and attention to detail he takes- definitely the sign of a perfectionist. I left feeling like a model with perfect eyebrows- perfect color, perfect shape.

A+ Eyebrows. Recently I had permanent eyebrow tattooing done by him. Love them. Very very natural results, even my close girlfriends and my boyfriend still haven't noticed that they're permanent, and that I don't apply makeup to my eyebrows anymore :-) FYI: Your eyebrows will look much darker in the first 2-3 days. I just camouflaged them with my bangs and told my boyfriend that I'm doing some treatment for my eyebrows that helps them grow better, and I'm not supposed to remove the dark substance for couple of days; he didn't question me :-) The free touch-up after the initial tattoo is nice although I haven't felt they need anything different. Best part is waking up in the morning and not having to put on my face! Yea!!!

I was hesitant about getting permanent makeup after seeing bad eyebrow tattoos on some women. They must have got theirs at cheap places. Don't waste your time trying to save a few bucks when it comes to your face. You get what you pay for. Go and see him if this is something you are considering.

Absolutely Fabulous. I had been wanting to have permanent makeup for quite awhile. I lost most of my eyebrow hair years ago (not sure why) and just wanted to fill some sparse areas on them. There are very few people who offer this sort of treatment around where I live (the Oregon Coast) and they did not seem very good so I searched around a bit and found Erik. I wasn't sure about the process and had many questions and the incredibly wonderful receptionist at Studio One answered many of them. She arranged for Erik to speak to me over the phone about the more specific things I wanted to know. I came in from Manzanita the following week for a consultation but was so impressed I had my brows and eyeliner done at that point. I'm very glad I did, they look absolutely fabulous. Happy Me. Nice work and thank you, I must admit I was very pleased with the outcome of this, I recently moved to Portland from Hawaii and was referred to Erik by a well known permanent cosmetic technician here. I did my research (as you must) and Erik was held with very high regard. Already considering having my eyeliner done.

Finally. These are the eyebrows I've been wanting for years but never thought I could have. Knew what I wanted because a girlfriend of mine had her eyeliner done by him so I knew he was good. I skipped the consultation and just went ahead and scheduled my brows as soon as I could. I absolutely love my eyebrows.

Love my permanent eyebrows!. Just wanted to post a comment regarding the professional and friendly way in which Erik carried out my recent cosmetic treatment. After many years of struggling to keep pencilled eyebrows looking perfect and natural and getting them to stay on, I finally found out about the cosmetic procedure of permanent makeup. I was initially wary of having it done but after doing research I consulted with 3 other permanent makeup people around Portland but after talking to Erik I was confident that he was the right choice. He listened! The other two people just talked about how great they were and how happy all of their clients were. Erik listened to what I wanted and took the time to make sure he knew exactly what my expectations were. He showed me some pictures of clients brows so I knew what to expect. Within ten minutes I knew he would be able to do my eyebrows exactly the way I wanted and without any problems. Since having the treatment I no longer have to pencil on my eyebrows each day and worry about them being rubbed off during the course of the day. I have just returned from a vacation overseas and enjoyed being able to use the pool and to swim without the worry of having to redo my eyebrows each time I took a swim. Although the treatment is on the spendy side I feel it is definitely worth every penny. I could have spent thousands more on an eyelift but why? Don't need to now and I have the added benefit of permanent eyebrows. I have already scheduled a time to have my lipliner done. I can't wait for that. I can't thank him enough for the difference that his expert service has made to my daily life and have already referred two friends to him for eyeliner. Very pleased with the results. Erik is the real deal. As one of the other reviewers did I found him by doing my research online. I wanted a consultation first and came loaded with a ton of questions. No worries girls, he's all good. I was only going to have my brows done but he is currently advertising a brow and eyeliner package that I could not resist so I had my eyeliner done as well. I honestly have to say I was skeptical at first but the permanent makeup I got is perfect. It looks great and he really made me feel calm and comfortable throughout the whole process which took about two hours. His prices are worth it in my opinion. It is really the final outcome that is phenomenal. I am an RN and highly recommend him for the sterility and cleanliness alone.
