Amazing talent and staff. In April of this year, I was faced with the side effect of losing my hair due to chemo. I had been told through word of mouth that Brenda is the best in town for wigs. Adrienne in the shop fit me in for a consultation with Brenda right away. Brenda asked me a lot of questions and listened to my needs. Her 40+ years of experience really showed as she consulted and educated me. Brenda informed me of so many things my doctor didnt about hair loss and the best way to treat and handle your hair during the hair loss phase.

After our meeting, I decided on a blonde real hair wig. When the wig arrived, I could not believe not believe how beautiful it was. It looked exactly like my regular hair. In fact everyone said they couldn't believe it was not my regular hair. When I went to my doctors office in the wig, I had to tell them it was a wig and at least 5 people came by to come see it. My doctor had his assistant take a picture of me to show his patients so they could see when they get scared about their hair loss.

I recently put a self tanner on and some of it got on my wig. This unfortunately turned some of the hair orange. When it wouldn't come out after washing it, I brought it to Brenda and unfortunately with blonde wigs, you can't highlight them but you can low light. Brenda took my wig for a couple of days and weaved in a beautiful light brown. My wig looks fabulous and the light brown actually highlights the blonde of the wig. Brenda is amazingly talented, compassionate, and patient! I highly recommend Brenda Kay!! She and Adrienne are great!

Very kind and attentive service. My sister-in-law is in her second year of treatement for a stage four cancer and has lost her hair twice due to chemo and radiation therapy. She wanted a wig badly, but didn't know where to start. Since she is being treated at OHSU, I looked for a shop that was near to this location and came across Brenda Kay's. I checked out the reviews, most of which were great, but a couple were very negative - we decided to give it a try and see for ourselves.

We arrived on a Tuesday morning, with no appointment, and were immediately and warmly welcomed by the shop assistant, Leslie. There was a customer there before us, so we had to wait for about 20-30 minutes, which gave us time to look around at some wig possibilities for my sister-in-law. We were impressed with the ambiance of the shop and selection of wigs and hats.

Once Brenda was free, she gave us her complete and undivided attention. She has a great selection of wigs and brought out many styles of wigs for my sister-in-law to try. Brenda was upbeat and helpful throughout the process and seems to really understand her craft, as well as being sensitive to cancer patients. After trying about a dozen or so wigs, my sister-in-law chose her two favorites and had to make a decision. Brenda never pushed us for a quick decision or discussed price. Since my sister-in-law is on a great deal of medications, no decisions come easy, and Brenda seemed in tune to this. As it turned out, the wig my sister-in-law liked best was not only quite flattering, but very reasonably priced.

After seeing Brenda Kay's displays, my sister-in-law also decided to buy some hats. She ended up buying three very versatile and attractive hats that will carry her through the summer. Brenda even helped out on the price of a hat my sister-in-law liked best, but was hesitant to buy due to the cost.

Thank you, Brenda and Leslie for making my sister-in-law's experience in your shop such a pleasant one. Thanks to you, it was one of the best days she has in a long time. You really gave her spirits a much needed lift.

Knowledgeable, discreet, kind, fun. I approached buying a wig to cover my chemo-baldness with trepidation. Leslie made me feel glad to be there, and Brenda brought out the perfect wig the first time. Besides being a warm human being, she is a master stylist and a true professional. Don't forget to check out the great, well-priced hat selection while you're there.

Fantastic Service. The Owner Brenda Kay is a Master at helping women who have medically lost their hair or who just enjoy wearing a wig.

Her staff is patient, Kind, and very pleasant. Brenda goes out of her way to give top notch service to everyone who visits her store.

You walk out feeling fantastic and like a new woman. Brenda should be comended for her kindness to women. She is Great!!!

Expertise, personal service, overall great experience.. I went in a week ago because i had started chemo and was anticipating losing my hair very soon. Even after I had to reschedule twice, they were very welcoming pleasant each time we talked.. I gave them some info on the kind of wig I needed (e.g. blond highlights, short or just above shoulder length, hand-tied, etc.) and when I arrived she had pulled a number of wigs for me to try. Ultimately I spent two hours there trying on many many wigs and hats (the first 30 minutes were hard for me b/c I had never seen myself in a wig before). By the end of my appointment I had found two wigs I felt great about, as well as three hats that I adore. I never felt pressured, and I definitely recommend Brenda Kay's Hair Specialties very highly. I plan to go back for more hats -- and maybe another wig too -- very soon!

The best place to take your wigs!. I have a rare didease called monilethrix. I have been bald my entire life. I am almost 25 years old and have been going to Brenda since I was 14. Since I have gone to Brenda, my wigs always look fantastic. She has a way of listening to me explain the look I want and then making it look beautiful. She is a professional with years of experience, If you go to Brenda you will be so glad you did. I have never left her salon unhappy, always amazed. SHe also did a beautiful job on my wig for my wedding. I never thought it was possible to make ringlets on a wig look so good. Thank you Brenda!

Thank you Brenda!. A woman losing her hair---it's such a stigma in this society! Brenda made me feel comfortable right away and now I have the hair I want! High quality products!
