massage therapist reeked of cigarette smoke

Portland Center Spa used to be a great place years ago, and I used to recommend it to everybody. But the place changed hands, and when the massage therapist didn't listen to me, seemed uninterested in my needs, did a one-size-fits-all massage and smelled horribly like cigarette smoke -- an odor so strong as if she had just put it out before walking in -- it was clear that times had changed for the worse at PCS. Very unprofessional...and very rude! Not to mention, unhealthy. I tried to call and reach the manager after I got home to express my displeasure, but the receptionist claimed "he wasn't available" and when I tried to call back, she let it ring. What a shoddy operation -- try another place and get your money's worth!

• Pros: location was always convenient
• Cons: a shoddy operation with massage therapists that reek of cigarette smoke

Sean is the best!

I recently went to see Sean for some work on my back....I was in desperate need of some help. I was really pleased with his knowledge and care for my back. I left feeling great! I don't often get to feel relaxed I have a new baby at home and I work part-time in the service industry. So for me this was so wonderful I do feel like he has made a big difference...he's got healing hands. Thank Sean so much I can't wait for my next appointment!

Used to like it but now under new ownership

This place used to be great my wife and I would go for the couple's massage. I recently tried to make an appointment and kept getting a fax machine buzz on pick up. Once I did get through they couldn't book an appointment and told me they would have someone call me right back. No one called. I called again and was put on hold for five minutes before I gave up. They really need to get their act together.
