Pizza >Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake
From original to stuffed crust, these take-home pizzas are oven ready for a quick make-at-home meal..
In 1995, two small franchises--Papa Aldo's Pizza and Murphy's Pizza--merged, forming a nationwide take-and-bake chain. The dough is prepared in-house daily, and topped with fresh cheese and basic (pepperoni, mushroom, olives) or gourmet (chicken, artichoke, spinach, herbs) combinations. Order the thin-crust deLITE pizza for a low-cal, low-carb option, or get a family-style stuffed pizza, loaded with toppings inside and on top of a thick crust. Dessert pizzas, salads and calzones are also available.
Got a little big for its britches..
The take and bake idea is a good one, and it was designed to save people money. I used to go here and get the pizzas a lot, until recently, when somebody decided to make the large size "Family Size" and further insulted my intelligence by adding "Family size-it for just a few dollars more".
What happened to my large pizza for under $10.00? I used to rave about this place; the pizzas were great for not being from an authentic Italian restaurant, and I kind of liked the bake-it-myself idea, but, alas, the almighty dollar has reared its ugly head again. I'll be back only with coupons.
