In Short – Since 1962, travelers have enjoyed budget-friendly prices at Motel 6. The national chain (more than 800 locations in the U.S.) accommodates traveling families, as kids stay for free and complimentary coffee is available every morning. The rooms are simple--a TV on the dresser (free HBO and ESPN), data port for computer users and a basic bathroom--but at these prices, who needs a whirlpool?

What a nightmare...

Motel6 Portland, OR Central room 120 on the evening of 10/03/2009.
From around 9:30 P.M. till 11:30 when we left the find a new motel so we could get some sleep, we had a gang bangers party going on in the room next to us (and outside our window). We called the front desk twice (and a third time to tell them we were leaving), and still got charged for the room! My advice is to avoid this place if you have children (the language at the party next door would make a sailor blush) or if you are looking to get ANY SLEEP!
