User Reviews for Smooth Move People

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I've used them 4 times and my step mother has used them 3 times and we've never had anything broken or damaged, but I pack fragile items well. They do appear to be a little rougher with stuff then I would be but they are very quick, friendly and very well priced. None of my moves have taken longer then 3 hours. They did stop for lunch on one of the moves but they deducted that out of the time I was charged for. They were a little late arriving on one of the moves but they had gotten a little lost and called twice once for directions and again to update us on how far away they were. It's also true that they have another moving company All American or All Star or something like that but they certainly don't try and hide that. I have been very happy with my moves and would recommend them to anybody.

Pros: Very fast, great prices

Cons: A little rough

My movers were late and after a few calls they showed up in an All American Moving truck, which I found out is owned by the same people, same address and they share trucks. See my review under All American. Basically, they damaged my furniture, were not polite or professional, they kept stopping at convenience stores because they were "thirsty and hungry" (adding time on to the move) and they did not use proper lifting techniques so they were bumping into walls and doors all over the place. They give you a few cents per the number of pounds an object weighs if they damage it. It was a joke. They said they would fix my coffee table they damaged, but had it for weeks and then just slopped some tan colored wood putty over the gouge they put in it. Not even the same color as the finish! Not impressive.

Pros: price

Cons: late arrival, not polite or professional, damaged furniture
