What's in a name?

In the interest of full disclosure, I work for this shop and I'm not 100% Scottish! Neither are many of the customers. This is America, we are all multicultural and multi-heritaged. No matter *what* your heritage, if you love all things Scottish, Celtic or British, you are welcome! And regarding the flag issue: It's because the owners *do* respect Ireland that the damaged flag was removed from view. And the fact is that the shop only has three spaces available for displaying large flags out front. There are six unique flags for Great Britain(Scotland, England, Wales, Cornwall, Ireland, and Isle of Man) so no matter which of these was chosen, the others would have been left out. Rather than make that choice, the flag of all of Great Britain was chosen.

Affordable variety!

A wonderful store! Filled with hard-to find specialty items and tea necessities at affordable prices. Treacle dabs, (if you've not tried one of these wonderful molasses chews, you're missing out!) GOOD tea, shortbread, brown betties--THE best teapot ever made!--with a friendly and knowledgeable staff! Flags, kilts, obscure tartans--you can find it all here without buyer's remorse. Other shops take advantage of the limited competition and hike prices unmercifully. Scottish Country Shop is actually ethical and prices fairly! Loyal to this store with the depth of a Scot! See you at the Highlander festival!
