Smelly.
What I ordered: Hot Spicy and Sour soup with pork dumplings. Veggie Pot Stickers. Some kind of Indian pita bread with a yogurt cucumber dip. Jasmine tea.
My fiance ordered: Yakisoba noodles with Chicken. Green tea.
Food: My "cup" of soup was huge, which I thought was nice. You can choose how many dumplings you want in the soup and what kind of dumpling (veggie, pork or chicken). The soup tasted alright but not very good - the dumplings were satisfying and had good flavor.
The Indian pitas were more like huge crackers. I didn't really like them - nor did I like the dip.
My fiance said the Yakisoba and Chicken was just "okay". Nothing special and the chicken was almost cold in temperature.
The tea was good.
Bathroom!: First of all, it smelled horrible in the bathroom. To make matters worse, the toilet paper was almost empty and the paper towels were missing. I had no way to dry my hands after washing.
Bottom line: We won't be going back. It's too bad though because it's a cute little inexpensive place. I think we'll continue to try other restaurants in Sellwood.…
dinner for 3 under $30. for 3 of us we ordered appetizer and 3 dishes for under $30! I recommend the lamb roti. There are other dishes I will try next. This is a good budget dinner/ lunch. Each taste is different so always venture out for your taste buds.…
Not the same anymore..
We live nearby and have been coming to Stickers since they opened. The two biggest food draws for us has always been the potstickers and the Pad Thai. We have noticed however in the past year or two
that both of these have changed. The sauce they use for the Pad Thai has been toned down, and they changed the noodles from a very long thin round noodle to a thicker short flat noodle. The problem is it gives the dish a starchy mouthfeel. As someone else pointed out, the potsticker wrappers also seem to be thicker, more doughy than they used to be and perhaps a little less of the filling is used. Neither change has been for the better.
While the food here is still fairly good, it no longer is our destination spot for Thai food. Since they only serve a yellow curry on the menu (we prefer red or green), lack many of the Thai menu standards, and combined with the changes to our favorites, we have better choices in the surrounding neighborhoods. Judging by the few customers that were there last night (Saturday) I think we aren't the only ones that share this opinion.…
Great sidewalk cafe, with wonderful food, in a sweet little business district..
We had lunch on the sidewalk at Stickers Asian Cafe on Friday, August 29, 2008, and it was great.
A cute and courteous young Asian waitress served us and she was right on top of things.
The food was superb and the menu was very deep, with a lot of unusual choices.
We are going to recommend Stickers to all of our friends and associates.
We can't wait to return for another meal, it was so good.…
Love It!.
I love this place - their menu includes dishes from all over asia - indian lamb roti, curries, stir fries, noodle dishes, rice dishes, tons of stuff! Super cute atmosphere, and decent prices.
Why wait at Sapuros in the rain when you can walk around the corner and get deliciousness?!
Personally I think their potstickers are great. They make them with super fresh ingredients. I am a big potsticker fan, and I think these are way above the average chinese restaurant style potstickers you can get at other places.
The tandoori chicken is amazing!…
